Gratitude Project

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Day 355, December 31- New Year's Eve Day. We're here. The end of the year. We made it. Well, in my case, sort of. For a while, at least, this will be my last posting. To those who followed "Joy in the Journey" this year, thank you. And for those who have followed the full four years of "The Gratitude Project," thank you and congratulations. You stuck in there as I muddled my way through the intricacies of blogging and struggled to find my voice. Tuesday, December 30, 2014.

Gratitude Project: Day 342, December 18

http://janemcbride.blogspot.com/2014/12/day-342-december-18.html

Thursday, December 18, 2014. Day 342, December 18. It is one week before Christmas. And I'm pretty much at peace. Did I get everything done that I wanted to? Of course not. Did I get the things done that meant the most to me? For the most part, yes. Are those bad things? No But wisdom and a whole lot of years under my belt (or in my bra) have given me a different perspective. Joy for today: not being frantic. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Day 354, December 30. Today is the second to last day of the year. Did you ever think you wouldn't make it through? I did I have. And yet somehow here I am, still standing, still writing, still putting one foot in front of the other. And sometimes that's all we can do: put one foot in front of the other. What have I accomplished . and what have I failed to accomplish? What have I learned . and what have I failed to learn? What brought me joy . and what brought me pain? Day 334...

Gratitude Project: Day 352, December 28

http://janemcbride.blogspot.com/2014/12/day-352-december-28.html

Sunday, December 28, 2014. Day 352, December 28. Where there is love, there are always miracles."- Willa Cather. I found this quote on a Christmas card given to me by a dear friend. It seemed appropriate to share today as it goes along with yesterday's post. I resolved to climb out of my hole of pity and try to do something for someone else. A lady in our ward had lost her husband a year earlier. What could I do for her? Joy for today: remembering a Christmas miracle. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Made a casserole,. Brought practical gfits,. Joy for today: having many "Three Wise Women" as friends. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Alanna's Spot in the World. Gratitude Project: Day 344, December 20

http://janemcbride.blogspot.com/2014/12/day-344-december-20.html

Saturday, December 20, 2014. Day 344, December 20. Yesterday I wrote about Joseph. I found the following song in the Primary Songbook:. WHEN JOSEPH WENT TO BETHLEHEM. When Joseph went to Bethlehem I think he took great care. To place his tools and close his shop and leave no shavings there. He urged the donkey forward then, with Mary on its back. And carried bread and goat cheese in a little linen sack. I think there at the busy inn that he was meek and mild. Joy for today: thinking of Joseph. Day 340, D...

Antisocial Media | A real look at social media

A real look at social media. Who writes this stuff? No, screw YOU, dad! Assassin’s Creed III, or Angst in a time of civil war. So I finally got round to buying Assassin’s Creed III (which I would have bought sooner had certain retailers not pushed the price up to 50 in the run up to Christmas) and have completed the main story, as well as the majority of the side missions. So, without further ado, and without too many spoilers, here are some of my thoughts on AC:3. A tale of two daddies. Both are re-unit...
