This is a record of me being involved in Participatory Photography. Monday, 19 February 2007. Participatory Photography - Lesson 2. With some trepidation I took the camera into work. I am not confident with this camera at all! I work at Runshaw College as a Lecturer in Computing and IT so decided to take photos of my colleagues and students. This is a record of me being involved in Participatory Photography. Monday, 19 February 2007. Participatory Photography - Lesson 3. I was beginning to become really despondent about the photos I had taken and discussed the problem with Andy. He checked the camera and discovered the shutter speed was too slow which was the reason for the blurring. He then showed me how to adjust this and explained about over/under exposure of an image. I tried to photograph something that was not contrived or posed, something that occurred naturally and realised there was something right in front of my nose 'My Desk'. Andy (very patiently) explained how to adjust the exposure. Back home I downloaded a program called Picasa2 (which is free). This will enable me to edit the photos and add effects.
