I don’t know if the crack is in the dark chocolate, the peppermint sprinkles, or the stuffing inside, but it is in there somewhere. They are To Die For. And only 150 calories PER cookie. Holy Molies. Normally in central NC, whatever snow or ice we get disappears quick. In this case, the sleet was followed by 3 days of record low daytime highs and nighttime lows. The boys tracked back in to their year round school on Wednesday after a 5 week break. Getting up early was hard to do! I figure the sunrise offsets the lack of sleep just a little. Christmas Eve resembled Thanksgiving at our house as I baked pumpkin pie and cheesecake with Johnny's help. We tried fresh goose, I mean heritage turkey;-), and it was very good. Not gamey at all and tasted a lot like a beef roast. Thankfully the kids ate it! Holly Springs Light Tour. We looked at the WRAL Holiday Light Map. One house had these singing Christmas tree faces to music. Cool!

As usual, most of the items on the table came from my favorite thrift store, Guardian Angel. And, those have to be the most unique and vibrant Corelle plates I have ever come across. So festive! I estimate the cost of everything on the table at less than $30. Enjoy the picture tour and feel inspired!
