Friday, August 28, 2009. A little background on what we have learned about liver cancer. The mortality rate for people with liver cancer is very high, for two main reasons: 1) many of the people who get it were already very sick when they got it, and 2) by the time it actually shows up in your system, it has usually already spread to other parts of your body and can not be cured, which is what Stage Four cancer means. How could that happen? If it seems like it just isn't fair, it's because it isn't.

Saturday, October 31, 2009. Janice to be featured at Bowers Museum Day of the Dead celebration. The offrenda will be up at the Bowers only until Tuesday, November 3rd. In conjunction with the exhibit, we will also be releasing the first major retrospective book ever published on Janice's artwork and life. The book, like the exhibition, is titled "The Curiosities of Janice Lowry". Janice Loves to Quilt. Saturday, August 8, 2015. Today was a special milestone for Tom, he turned 70. I tried to tell him he was going to be 80 a couple of days ago, but he was slick enough to catch my error. Thank goodness for that, it means I’m younger, too! You get to wander through almost the entire church and you get to see lots of beautiful things. The town is quaint. The houses are magnificent Victorian mansions in various states of disrepair.
