Thursday, 23 January 2014. 3 for $3.98". 8" x 8" - Oil on Canvas. The other day I was at the grocery store to pick up a few things and I finally succumbed to the beautiful cheerful colours of the primulas that were lined up on the shelves outside. Hmmm.what colours to buy . . .3 for $3.98 . . . I've been on a white kick lately, but no, they didn't have enough colour. Yellow? 23 January 2014 at 20:24. Really really great, Sharlene! 24 January 2014 at 11:01. 24 January 2014 at 23:21. Victoria, BC, Canada.

Trish Armstrong-Gibson: Hippy, Hippy Shake
http://trisharmstrong-gibson.blogspot.com/2010/01/hippy-hippy-shake.html
Paintings and Prose: a personal exploration of creativity. Friday, January 29, 2010. Hippy, Hippy Shake. Another watercolour, a belly dancer named Meeka. I love the light on the figure and the way the 'coins' on the costume did their own dance. Beautiful dancer and a wonderful model. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tuesday, 28 January 2014. 12" x 6" - Oil on Panel. Oh so fun to let the kid out to play! I fought with the tomatoes in the morning, so yesterday afternoon when I came home from my doctor's appointment (most excellent news) I decided to have some fun. I know that most of you are familiar with them as the symbol of the Vancouver Olympic Games. See you soon Tey! 28 January 2014 at 12:06. Most innovative. With no colour, to speak of, in the stone it was an excellent choice to have a rainbow background! A PAI...

Gaye Adams Painting Journal. June 12, 2015. The Power of Plein Air. Summer Storm, oil on panel 8X10". I AM AMAZED at just how much satisfaction I am getting from painting the landscape en plein air. Failure rate was at about 60% I figure. It took a while for me to figure out the gear, and develop a process for dealing with all of the trials and tribulations of painting in the field. It includes the extra bonus of a FREE FIELD SKETCH for each participant. It's a one time offer, so take me up on it! Pears ...

http://artbystushnov.blogspot.com/2014/01/tulips-in-milk-bottle-8-x-6-oil-on.html
Saturday, 25 January 2014. Tulips in a Milk Bottle". 8" x 6" - Oil on Canvas. I bought these tulips on the same day that I purchased the primulas, so I thought that I had best get them painted before they expired! I've had a couple of Avalon glass milk bottles kicking around for awhile now. They are actually from whipping cream, not milk, so not quite as tall. Definitely a fun shape to paint. Well, this painting was a bit of an exercise in frustration! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
