Painter J: March 2008
http://painterjanice.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 14, 2008. On the Wing of a Swan. Is an oil painting on paper. It measures about 48x48" and the paper is permanently attached to a stretched canvas. Childbirth deaths of mothers and of babies were common until fairly recent times. Who was it all those centuries ago who suffered the loss of those two people? Who laid them to rest so tenderly? Posted by Janice Mueller. Posted by Janice Mueller. Labels: On the Wing of a Swan. So, what is the moral of the Ariadne story for me?

Painter J: December 2010
http://painterjanice.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 9, 2010. Thinking about art and what it is in 2010. It has certainly changed its definition within the span of my lifetime. But has it really? Technology makes it seem as though it has but the basic drive for expression is still the same as it was "in the beginning." I have to consider this further with more time. Posted by Janice Mueller. Painter J: Maggie and JP Majors
http://painterjanice.blogspot.com/2011/05/maggie-and-jp-majors.html
Sunday, May 15, 2011. Maggie and JP Majors. Maggie and JP were married last summer and my promised wedding gift was finally presented last evening! A departure for me, it was based on the Marriage Quilt (ahhh, the grid) and contained images of Celtic wedding symbols and a tree of life. Some time ago in Santa Fe, NM, I bought paper at a store and the wrapped it in a tissue paper that was printed with a Shakespere Sonnet in gold! Posted by Janice Mueller.
