Our Family of Four: February 2011
http://jasonandaimeebakke.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Hi everyone. In the midst of a lovely February thaw we have a strep outbreak at the Bakke house. First Jason, then Annika and now Kate. Fevers. Coughing. No goodnight's sleep for anyone. Prayers please. Thanks! Kate and Annika had their very first dance recital last week. I knew that Annika would be excited, but I was shocked at how excited Kate was. She was the one that told me after her first dance class that she didn't really want to go back, could she just play soccer instead. I am a wife. Blog desig...

Our Family of Four: June 2011

We had a great time today in the Minnesota heat and humidity at our friend Isabelle's house. She has a pool! And we loved every minute of it. Kate and Annika. Played in the pool for three hours. Needless to say.they both came home and fell asleep. Means swimming fun. Thanks for having us over Isabelle! Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good." Psalm 135:3. Website. Which connected me with this really cool blog, (click here. The north shore {june}. It's an annual event. Father's Day on the North Shore o...

Our Family of Four: a fairy garden party {kate and annika turn 5}
http://jasonandaimeebakke.blogspot.com/2011/05/fairy-garden-party-kate-and-annika-turn.html
A fairy garden party {kate and annika turn 5}. Today we spent the day with some sweet little fairies. Two of those fairies were our little Kate and Annika. Who aren't that little anymore. They just turned 5 years old. Our home turned into a fairy garden. It was so fun finding all sorts of glittery, flowery, butterfly things to decorate with. I found most of the ideas here. We had a scavenger hunt looking for fun fairy things. Feathers, gems, pixie dust, magic wands. Loved having all of their friends over.

Our Family of Four: prayers
http://jasonandaimeebakke.blogspot.com/2011/06/prayers.html
O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.

Our Family of Four: November 2010

Our first snow of the winter season caught us all a little by surprise. But the expressions on Kate and Annika's faces when they woke up to the freshly fallen snow were priceless. We got to wear our new snow pants, new snow boots and new winter jackets. We made our first snow angels. Our first snow fort. Had our first snowballs fights and our first sledding fun. Our first time for squishy, wet, snowy puddles. Which of course created some wet, soggy mittens. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I am a wife. Blog d...

Our Family of Four: the north shore {june}
http://jasonandaimeebakke.blogspot.com/2011/06/north-shore-june.html
The north shore {june}. It's an annual event. Father's Day on the North Shore of Minnesota. For the past six years Jason has run either Grandma's Marathon or the Gary Bjorklund Half-Marathon and it has always been out of the ordinary hot in Duluth. Surprisingly this weekend the weather was very Duluth-like. Foggy. Cold. Windy. Gray. Blah. But we still had fun. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a wife. A mother of twins. Ever since Kate and Annika turned three years old, they knew that when they turned four they could get big girl bikes. So last Sunday we went bike shopping, looking for the perfect bikes. We started at a "real" bike shop and couldn't believe our eyes at the prices for a little 20 inch girls bike. Yikes! We love you girls, but we have a budget. So then we headed to a local toy store. Kate was in heaven when she saw a green sparkly bike. I think her exact words were, "Oh my goodness! Annika joy {6 months}.

Trick or treat {halloween 2010}. Happy Halloween from Pirate Kate and Snow White Annika. Trick or treat! Smell my feet. Please give me something good to eat! A north shore fall. Minnesota's North Shore in October is a beautiful place to be. Cool Lake Superior breezes and colorful leaves surrounded by evergreen trees. Nothing beats visiting Grandma and Grandpa Cloutier. We enjoyed every minute of our weekend getaway. Lake Superior rock forts. Pretending to be deer with Grandpa. What nice antlers! Jason, t...

Our Family of Four: July 2011
http://jasonandaimeebakke.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
This past week, Jason and I did something we've never done. Take our girlies. On a plane ride. We went to Florida! Disney World to be exact. It was amazing! We even enjoyed the heat and humidity of Florida. After a not so warm spring and start of summer here in Minnesota, we basked in the sunshine and warmth (that's an understatement) of Florida in July. Two words for Magic Kingdom. Uff. Oh my gosh Jason and I were like deer staring into headlights. We didn't know which way to go. Left? Disney. $17&#...

A sure sign of spring at our house is melted snow, mud puddles, rain boots, fleece jackets, digging out the bikes, making sand castles with your hats and mittens on and being able to swing again. Gotta love it! Happy St. Patrick's Day and Happy Birthday to our Daddy! We love you Daddy! Life has been busy here at the Bakke household, what else is new, right? Here is a recap of our last few weeks. 4 The season of parent-teacher conferences is upon us. I spent several evenings last week preparing confer...
