http://janiquecrenshaw.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 28, 2011. I can't believe it's 2011 and I'm going to graduate soon! Knowing I had to create like 12 new works for Portfolio class, I was a little freaked out. But I've been busy sketching and developing my style over the holidays and came back with a new perspective on my illustration. Yay! Our first assignment: pick a client and come up with an illustration that fits for that client. My client: New Orleans Tourism Bureau (gotta represent my NOLA people. Geaux Saints!

AND they are going to have a show @ MJQ/Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta March 10th! Can't wait to see them.Seriously check out their music if you're unfamiliar.

Sketch Tease: September 2010

Saturday, September 25, 2010. First Annual Midtown Arts Festival. I enjoyed the inaugural arts festival along Peachtree's 5th and 10th streets. Although it was hot (and probably more interesting on paper) I still had a good time with good friends. Plus, SCAD students Grant Hanna. Illustrators) were selling prints of their work at Kai-Lin Art Gallery. There wasn't much "art" as their was craft stuff, but still decent for the first go. Looking forward to next year's. Sunday, July 25, 2010. Style Technique. Whatever it is I've been analyzing and over-thinking how to find my "artistic voice." Through my art education, I've learned oil painting, scratchboard, digital art, watercolor.but I've always known, loved and worked with pastel. So a thought occurs to me- "Why aren't you perfecting your pastel techniques for illustration? Very good question, since I have nearly 10 years experience working with pastel (yeah since 10 years old! My early pastel work. This is my "prof...
