Little Steps in Motherhood. My take on being a mom, staying home with my sons and communicating online with friends and family, near and far. Sunday, June 27, 2010. For me this was a scarier than heck thought. I couldn't stop thinking about it for the days between our pre-op meeting and my c-section. When the nurses started having difficulties putting in my iv, I grew less and less confident that things would go well in the OR. I am extremely happy to report however, that things went. We stopped to fill ...

Little Steps in Motherhood: Happy Canada Day
http://ryansmommyslittlesteps.blogspot.com/2010/07/happy-canada-day.html
Little Steps in Motherhood. My take on being a mom, staying home with my sons and communicating online with friends and family, near and far. Friday, July 2, 2010. How did you celebrate? Our day started out a little later than planned so we missed the parade. So we headed down to the beach to take in some festivities. It was quite a work out parking a couple of blocks away and then pulling Adam and Ryan in the wagon with the rest of our stuff and carrying Anthony in the Ergo. And this time they had a pic...

Friday, December 13, 2013. We attended an awards assembly. Elizabeth received the Principal's "Paws"itive Award today. They are Jag Cubs. Hence the "paws". It's not a really big deal. Everybody gets it sometime during the year so this was her week. But it was still fun to see her at school. Here's what her teacher said about her: "Elizabeth, thank you for always having a smile on your face! Good luck at the Bee! Thursday, December 12, 2013. We have some things that are lost. The other lost item is Courtn...

Sunday, July 22, 2012. Saturday, July 21, 2012. Aubrey loves watermelon. She eats more of it than I do. Wednesday, July 18, 2012. My car window got smashed by the neighbors throwing a baseball in the street. Too bad we can't fit both cars in the garage, it is just too narrow. Thursday, July 12, 2012. View from the house at night. Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Tuesday, July 10, 2012. This is the view from the house where we had our reunion. Monday, July 9, 2012. Saturday, July 7, 2012. Thursday, April 24, 2014. My second post made on the first day I started blogging was the girls swinging ( here. As I was at the park with my parents on Monday watching the girls swinging I remembered that photo and had to get a picture. It takes a lot less effort to keep them all swinging these days. Sarah still likes "little" pushes (she is super cautious) and Camille wants the "underdog" all the time. Is this a sign? Will this be my last blog post? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Out in the Garden.

Not a Homemaker: May 2009
http://notahomemaker.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 24, 2009. This was so cute I have to share it. I was driving somewhere and Eleanor was with me. She was singing the ABC song and making up her own words. Suddenly she yells, "Spanish! And starts singing in "Spanish." I think there was even one real Spanish word in there. Then she yelled, "Family! And started singing all the names in the family. She included "mom" and "Suzie" and even Evelyn (my brother Ben's oldest for any who don't know.). Don't be ridiculous. Sam and Eleanor are usually...

Livin' Like Kings: Disneyland Day 1
http://mckayashley.blogspot.com/2015/07/disneyland-day-1.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2015. We spent a few days in San Diego and then drove up the coast to Disneyland! Madelyn and Gabe had been when they were very little (and Carter was there 4 weeks before delivery) but the younger kids had never been, and none of them really remembered it. Vovo and Papa treated everyone to a day at Disneyland and I loved getting to ride the oldies like the Matterhorn, Splash Mountain, and Pirates. Instant trip back to childhood!
