Postcards Never Written...: June 2014
http://postcardsneverwritten.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 29, 2014. My Dad weighs 900 pounds. I could wax poetic about how great of a Daddy he is, however I think Jack's card to commemorate Father's Day last year sums it up just perfectly. My Dad weighs 900 pounds. God made Dads because they need to help us. The boss in my house is Mom. The difference between a Mom and Dad is Dads are funnyer. If I could change one thing about my Dad it would be he lets me go to Dominos Piss every day. I love my Dad because he is awesome. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Postcards Never Written...: Greatest Lesson...
http://postcardsneverwritten.blogspot.com/2015/03/greatest-lesson.html
Sunday, March 15, 2015. The Ides Of March.isn't strange shit meant to happen today? I'm in a reflective mood today, so I thought I'd share a recent compilation of responses from readers when I asked them what has been the greatest lesson they've learned in life thus far.I've shared all answers below. I could relate to most of them, and yet couldn't quite figure out what mine would be, if forced to pick just one. Recently though, I think I figured it out. But one of these days. Never happened – inst...

Postcards Never Written...: July 2014

Thursday, July 31, 2014. Habitat for Humanity - El Salvador. Helping others is the best way to rediscover yourself…. This past November, I participated in a Habitat for Humanity build in El Salvador with a group of people from work. When I was first approached to go on this trip, I had multiple reasons why it wasn’t a good time. I was working full-time outside the home, a mother of three, and could hardly manage my life as it was. Another time. I said, maybe in a few years when things slow down. The auth...

Postcards Never Written...: April 2015

Tuesday, April 28, 2015. My feature article in PINK magazine. Albeit pulled from my arse in under an hour (with some magical editing), the article turned out just fine. I guess that's what happens when you let your heart tell your story. Strange how that works. My article is on page 24. Enjoy the whole magazine, but enjoy my part the most. Obviously. Postcards Never Written...: January 2015
http://postcardsneverwritten.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 15, 2015. Flat Stanley has a French fry dink. The night started off harmless enough. The kids were knocking back their Happy Meals, loading up on the nutrients. There was an undercurrent of excitement that the Happy Meal toys had been updated.when you eat there as much as we do, even the prettiest and most functional of toys lose their edge after multiple repeats. The toy this week is an adorable little book, titled: "Flat Stanley Goes Camping",. Tell Flat Stanley to tuck his tackle in.

Postcards Never Written...: January 2014
http://postcardsneverwritten.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 27, 2014. I have a video of my son Jack. How to kill a mocking turd. You can watch that little ruby by clicking here. Without getting into the gory details, he was having a hard time pushing it out. His running commentary on how. To get it out was filmed for posterity. Some commented that my son will kill me one day when he's older for sharing this video,. I've shared this story before, and I share it again for one (or all) of the following reasons:. And for that, I love them. Oh, right&#...

Postcards Never Written...: What did you learn in school today?
http://postcardsneverwritten.blogspot.com/2015/05/what-did-you-learn-in-school-today.html
Sunday, May 31, 2015. What did you learn in school today? We usually ask them what their favourite part of the day was.for some reason that day, I asked Jack what he learned at school. He didn't answer me right away, so I forgot all about it. A while later I heard peals of laughter from the bathtub, which is usually when I grab my camera. Here's what I found. Here Jimmy.I'll teach you what I learned at school today.". No, no.you have to put this finger up like this.". That's teacher-pride, right there.
