Grieving the Loss of a Child. I created the ADD and Addiction Web Site two years after my son became addicted to a hard drug, committing suicide only four months later. It happened so fast I didn't know what hit me. Raising an Attention Deficit child in the 80's and 90's was more of a mystery then it is now; however, I am stupefied by the ignorance that still prevails in our mainstream educational and medical communities even today concerning this particular brain chemistry type. .
