St ;-) Jean à Lyon. Winter. Mother Earth is warming up, and the ice north and south cooling down. Therefore, more snow in Bruges? From home, to Val Thorens for New Year, and back, by Lyon. Marvellous architecture, the rivers, island, and spaces of Paris, but with more hights: 470 steps! Very instructive about the funny French safety rules in the Courts, old and new. And oh wonder: St. John the Baptist, appeared everywhere! St ;-) Jean à Lyon.

My sisters Marianne and Trees bought ‘The complete poems and plays’ of the Noble Prize winner for me in Aylesbury in July 1974, and I always thought that if ever I could keep only one book of my library with me, it would be this one. We went through a real winter, with loads of snow, and so thus the more the sun is welcome. Coming back from a ski trip to Val Thorens, we suddenly discovered Bruges hurrying to a summer warmth. The ramparts of Bruges almost looked like beaches or campings. Smiles everywhere. Spring is in the air! Around Bruges, Spring.

Promenade en vélo, d’abord vers Narbonne, et à l’écluse du Mandirac vers l’isle St. Lucie (Port-la-Nouvelle) sur la rive gauche du Canal de la Robine.
