Retired. sort of. Saturday, August 9, 2008. Moose, Mooses or Mice? Thursday morning, August 8th, quickly eating breakfast before going off to work. A movement caught my eye and it was a moose by the clothesline. I dashed off to grab my camera and then had to walk to the front of the house to follow the moose. Took a couple of pictures and then took a movie of the big beast. check out the video. Also, the hummingbirds have been at the feeder. Check out this picture. So, that's what retired folks do, eh?

Retired. sort of. Thursday, May 22, 2008. Great Wall and Ming Tombs. We got to climb the Great Wall and then visit the Ming Tombs - the tombs of the 13 Emperors of the Ming Dynasty. One of our first views of the Great Wall. It took many, many centuries to build this fortification to keep out the invaders of the north. Total length is 6700 kilometres. It's KFC sandwich that has two fried chicken filets instead of a bun. Inside are four different types of cheese, a sauce of unknown provenance, and some bacon. 2 A pancake layered with cheesecake. At IHOP you can have a pancake-cheesecake-pancake creation or a pancake stack with the cheescake embedded in the pancake. We achieved both and were poorer for it.
