Life on a Catalan Mountain. Lec here, living ‘up a mountain’ at Los Corrales. It’s a finca, but just like most fincas it earns zero euros. So, much time is spent living rather frugally, but very happily here. There’s me and BigD, the humans, plus three dogs which are way too large, a cat who’s just way to here and a few hens just to keep us all fed. Luckily the huerto keeps us in good green stuff year round, and the orchard will one day keep us stocked up on fruit too… well maybe. 4 responses to “. Lovel...

Impoftheyard's photojournal: March 2010
http://impoftheyard.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, 29 March 2010. Last night I went to see Neil Innes with a group of friends. He was great. I took some photos but only had an iPhone so they are kind of over exposed. ("ONLY had an iPhone? I hear you say. Yes, it's my new toy! If you don't know Neil Innes then he was one of the Monty Python team, a Ruttle and in the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band. Here is Ego Warriors for you:. Here are some of my overexposed photos from last night. Wednesday, 24 March 2010. Wednesday, 17 March 2010. I'm really behind with...

Impoftheyard's photojournal: May 2010

Friday, 28 May 2010. Tribute to Flann O'Brien. I really liked this one. I love how people express themselves with their hands. It was harder to catch who I was sitting beside! Here's a macro thrown in for good measure. See if you can guess what it is. It was good to be going out tonight as I had had yet another job rejection today. I'm told repeatedly that I interview well and am a good candidate but there was just someone who had a little bit of something I hadn't. Back to the drawing board. Day trip to...

Impoftheyard's photojournal: June 2010
http://impoftheyard.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 30 June 2010. That time of week again. This was my favourite drawing from this week's batch though I was pleased with my chalk drawings too. Here I gave full rein to my liking for portaiture. I quite like the resultant drawing though I'm not sure it was all that good a likeness. Today, if I can find enough vegetables in the cupboard to produce something roughly nourishing then I shall be burrowing in for some tennis and a quiet day. Have a good one all! Thursday, 24 June 2010. In our quest for...

Impoftheyard's photojournal: Happy New Year
http://impoftheyard.blogspot.com/2011/01/happy-new-year_04.html
Tuesday, 4 January 2011. I thought I'd start my blogging year with a silly portrait of the lovely man and I. You may notice that he has had strange genetic and surgical experiments done on him and where he once had an ear, he appears to have grown fingers. He doesn't talk about it much though. One other plan which was not put into practice due to my being indisposed was getting out with my SLR and putting some effort into photos again. Here's hoping I can make up for that soon. 4 January 2011 at 21:43.

Impoftheyard's photojournal: July 2010
http://impoftheyard.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Friday, 30 July 2010. I went to visit a friend yesterday to photograph his paintings for an exhibition. Part of the deal was that I got to draw him. It was really hard when he sat for me as he couldn't sit still. He was a great model though when he fell asleep. I was quite pleased with this drawing. Today is the day that I join the lovely man so I'd better start to get organised. Have a great weekend folks. Wednesday, 28 July 2010. I had a couple of frustrations last night. One was that, though I'd p...

Saturday, 8 January 2011. A day of the mundane. We have had a quiet day with the return of the ordinary weekend. Here is the lovely man doing the shopping while I harass him with a camera. Impoftheyard's photojournal: October 2010
http://impoftheyard.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, 28 October 2010. Originally uploaded by impoftheyard. This photo was taken yesterday on Princes Street in Edinburgh. I liked the shadows and the colours. Notice the wonderful textured pavement so that blind and visually impaired people can find the crossing. Hm. Maybe that will make life too easy for them. I know! Let's put a heavy duty traffic cone in front of them for no particularly good reason. I get annoyed at things like this. Hope your week is going well! Thursday, 21 October 2010. I rar...
