The Satirical Muvver speaks out!: April 2008
http://hayleysperfect.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, 20 April 2008. I'm Happy with Being Left on the Shelf. There's bags of Room and it's Bloody Peaceful! Did you know the word 'Spinster', comes from the 18th century? Unmarried women who had nowhere else to go, were sent to spin houses a type of workhouse - to spin yarn. As a result they were called Spinsters and, eventually this came to be the term used for unmarried women. I've raised my son alone, been hard but I've done it. With no contact for the last 12 years from ex Mr not so wonderful, ...

the mumblings of a menopausal mum: Refreshers
http://themumblingsofamenopausalmum.blogspot.com/2007/03/refreshers.html
The mumblings of a menopausal mum. Is it hot in here or is it just me? Thursday, March 22, 2007. When our boys were still small we went on holiday to Dartmoor in Devon. Having exited the dual carriageway to head down the country lanes to search for our rental cottage, my husband decided to stop at the petrol station in order to fill up and buy some sweets for the last leg of our journey. He appeared back in the car with a couple of Twix. Followed by a "Me neither! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

the mumblings of a menopausal mum: Honey I'm Back

The mumblings of a menopausal mum. Is it hot in here or is it just me? Thursday, August 16, 2007. After going through a blogging black spot. This, after reading an article in the Mail on Sunday magazine telling me that rather than have an unrealistic goal of thinking I'm going to be the next J K Rowling, just write a daily blog and be content with that. It's more about the journey than the destination? Used my eyeliner on my eyebrows and my eyebrow pencil as an eyeliner causing comments from "my F am.

http://wheretherainbowends.blogspot.com/2008/09/lifes-like-that.html
Where the rainbow ends. Journal, images and odd ramblings. Saturday, September 20, 2008. Noah at Yo Sushi. My daughter, Kamsin. Today, and for most of this week, the sun has been shining! Your link is wrong! It goes to my old blog when I used to be on blogger! Weird that someone Japanese is now using that url! But I think I read somewhere Japanese is the most commonly used language in the blogosphere! It's been rainy lots here the last few days, but it's hot and sticky too which isn't nice!

where the rainbow ends: There's a lightness in my spirit...

Where the rainbow ends. Journal, images and odd ramblings. Thursday, May 29, 2008. There's a lightness in my spirit. Geraldine, I'm so sorry you have had a bad experience. I have been feeling stressed for some time, but mum is thankfully blissfully unaware of the situation. The care home where she is going to spend the day has people there on a month's trial initially, which I think is a good idea. Now I understand why you've not been on the blog much lately - keep well! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Tinnitus - A Novel in Thirty Nine Sections: Section Thirteen
http://tinnitus-novel.blogspot.com/2006/09/section-thirteen.html
Tinnitus - A Novel in Thirty Nine Sections. First day of term and I'm feeling pretty done. First day of term and I'm lost in a mass of strangers, lots of them first-timers like me. But lots of them seem to know each other - a network of old boys, chattering at ease, the minutiae established, the initial barriers broken-down. Do they hunt in packs, I wonder. Do they bare their yellow teeth at six o'clock and tyre the rain-smoothed roads to this disused school as regular as the night comes? Why am I here?

Tinnitus - A Novel in Thirty Nine Sections: Section Twelve
http://tinnitus-novel.blogspot.com/2006/09/section-twelve.html
Tinnitus - A Novel in Thirty Nine Sections. Out of the station, out of the tunnel, doing the long walk to the road, the huge railway arches looming above her, an unmistakable yet indiscernible whiff of the sea warping in above the car-fumes. Hey, non importa, ragazzo." She smiled, tousled his hair, and walked away down the hill, glancing back. Now, by some obscure system of selection, another one had become the quarry and was being chased by the other three hunters. She galumphed down the hill. Must have...
