Wednesday, February 27, 2008. Yes, I am alive! I thought this thing was gone but someone informed me it was not so I figured I would start this up again. Hopefully, not everyone has given up on me and will check this thing! Wow it has been along time let me think what has happened. Well I had the best Christmas of my life. Why you ask? Because I got this thing. Yes, you are seeing right it is a Kitchenaid mixer. I did not ask for one but have always wanted one! I am also looking forward to this summer!

Tuesday, August 07, 2007. I found 2 downtown hotels that had rooms - the Hilton or the Alden. This was pretty much one of our typical Houston trips. Friday night we ate at Pappasitos. This has been a tradition of ours from way back it seems. Afterwards we went to the game and watched the 'Stros. Saturday morning we drove to Katy and went shopping at Katy Mills Mall. We've now eaten at 4 of the 7 "varities" of restaurants the Pappas own. They love to see us come to Houston! It was a nice little restaurant...

Tuesday, February 03, 2009. Everything was wonderful. We were able to book a direct flight. That is always a big plus to me. Then we booked a great hotel - The Willard. The Willard is just a few blocks from the White House so it was not only a great accommodation, with a great room and turn down service to boot, but it was so convenient. Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Last week was spent in Nashville while I attended the annual Christian Education Conference. I look forward to this time of learning, renewal and fellowship each year and this year did not disappoint. The conference rotates between 5 different cities. Each year we are given some free time in the mid-afternoon and the conference ends on Wednesday around lunchtime. Monday, June 25, 2007. Last weekend Jack and I ran away to Mobile. The week before Jack started thinking about taking Friday off, so I started looking for some place close by to go. After ruling out a few places, we settled on Mobile. This is a place that we go every Easter weekend for Leadership Training for Christ convention. That weekend is a "working" weekend though without time for any sightseeing. So we decided it may be a fun, relaxing place to go. Friday morning we headed over to Dauphin Island.

This is a wonderful place in the Blue Ridge Mountains - a couple of hours from Atlanta and Tennessee. Highlands is surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest. Monday, October 15, 2007. This weekend I went to the Casting Crowns concert. This was my first Christian concert where most of the people were not all the same denomination and lets just say I can't wait to get to Heaven so we can all worship together forever!
