Friday, January 29. I've just started a very simple online store that caters to the small, but growing, geocaching community in Japan. My new web site is called Cache Kuni. Related products, such as nano caches. Containers, and geocoins. I'm also trying to create a community by hosting an online forum section. On my web site where hopefully geocachers from all over Japan will join to discuss the hobby. It's a very small business right now, but here's hoping it takes off! PS And for my Japanese readers:.

Saturday, October 4. I moved to Sydney with three books I've been wanting to read for a long time, Ishmael. The Life of Pi. And The Illuminatus Trilogy. It took me a while to start reading these and Ishmael is the first one I finished. Since I have a very similar feeling, that of life being a rat race. It explores how man is living in captivity, enslaved by a culture/civilization that forces him to exploit and destroy his own world in order to keep living; it is the story of "how things came to be this w...

Monday, December 15. Attended the closing film of the 12th annual Japanese film festival. In Sydney, Depatures. In Japanese) last week Tuesday. I had seen one of the festival's movies the week before and had not been especially impressed by it. Being the closing film I was hoping this movie to be more interesting. Sadly, Departures, as a movie, was only slightly better than Closed Note. I've lived in Japan. How everything is done in a specific order and fashion. I also came out with a question. The film ...

Friday, February 27. You heard it here first! I've just been told there's a job for me in Tokyo; I'm getting transferred back! I don't know the details, I just know that it's happening. Hopefully I'll get the specifics sometime next week. These will include departure date, relocation package (if any) and salary. You, my trusty readers, will be the first to get the full report and juicy details as soon as I do. So who's going to be first with a comment welcoming back? Tuesday, February 17. I also did some...

Monday, October 26. Dear readers, get ready for a first on my blog: a video review! In Japan is having a special promotional tie-in with Microsoft for the upcoming release of the new Windows 7 operating system. That's a over 2 lbs. of meat! I'm not a fan of Windows at all but I've always wanted to review myself eating something gluttonous and this seemed like the perfect place to start. My friend Scott. Tuesday, October 20. Finally, all done! In the words of Hiro. From the TV show Heroes. Or any other wi...

Monday, June 1. Back in Tokyo July 1st. It's been a while since I first announced my return to Tokyo and there have been quite a few ups and downs (I actually had no place to live for a bit) but it's now official: I will be back in by the end of June. I gave my resignation today and I'll be finishing out the month after which I'll be on a plane to Tokyo. But if you want the details just shoot me an email and I'll spill the beans, if you don't already know that is ;). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
