Japanese Realism: Mai 2007

http://japaneserealism.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html

Montag, 28. Mai 2007. Biketrip Across the Mountains. I had to take a break just to catch my breath. no, I could not return beat like a loser! So I went on on the road that wound itself further up around the mountain. For a moment I thought about taking the train back home, but abandoned the idea immediately. What about the honor? What about the bike? How would I feel riding a shiny mountain bike that I rode downhill for a few hours, only to be taking the train back home? 160;As for myself,&#160...Sore&#1...

Japanese Realism: März 2007

http://japaneserealism.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html

Donnerstag, 29. März 2007. Shiojiri from above / Eating in Japan. Snow-peaked mountains dominate the view, right outside my window. How exciting! So I had to look for alternatives. What else is there? Mittwoch, 28. März 2007. Baby, you're a rich man. A typical intersection in Shiojiri (notice how "wide" the roads are). Montag, 26. März 2007. Waiting and waiting, for hours and hours. that was the name of the game even before I saw the 4 HOUR DELAY sign flash up next to the flight to Narita airport&#46...

Japanese Realism: Oktober 2007

http://japaneserealism.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html

Montag, 22. Oktober 2007. When we got down to the valley, there seemed to be a few pools of water, and even a jet of hot steam was shooting into the air. We were not sure if this was what we were looking for, as no signs seemed to indicate either monkeys, or onsen, not to mention a monkey-onsen. Suddenly we saw them! They were lazing around on the bridge, grooming each other's brownish-gray fur. We knew we had arrived. So there WAS an onsen! What was that little lady talking about? Before we decided that...

Japanese Realism: Outdoor Water Trips

http://japaneserealism.blogspot.com/2007/07/has-it-been-almost-month-already-this.html

Montag, 9. Juli 2007. Has it been almost a month already? This is what happens once you get into the routine: time picks up pace, nothing seems to happen, at least nothing extraordinary, and before you know it the blog goes stale. Regardless, last Sunday we went out to an onsen. It was five of us, Ross, Dana, Yanik, Vanessa, and me. Driving up the winding mountain road into the clouds was quite spectacular, but just enough to set the scene for the onsen. This weekend we were also trying to go to an onsen.

Japanese Realism: Hiroshima

http://japaneserealism.blogspot.com/2007/08/hiroshima.html

Montag, 20. August 2007. After working many long and hard hours, days, weeks and months, finally I got a little time to relax, take a trip, and catch my breath before jumping into another long stretch of seemingly endless workdays. A whole five days of vacation, plus two days of weekend make a total of seven days. (Yeah! This is also a part of Japanese culture, so I better appreciate the experience! Safe enough to bet on? Bang for Your Buck. December 4, 2012. So, along with thinking of things like Learning Kanji without Kanji. But it occurred to me the other day, that you don’t even need 2,100 words. You can learn readings for kanji with fewer than one reading per kanji, thanks to the fact that many words can be written with more than one possible kanji (as we saw in Miru and Friends. And here’s a link that tracks the latest version as it changes. April 22, 2011. 8220;John Smith commented on his (own) status.”. The great ...
