Went to tokyo for three days and had a blast.a little lost though. the city is huge. five friends from union and i went. took the shinkansen there (the bullet train that goes over 200mph)! We visited some of the most famous places (imperial palace, shinjuku, shibuya), but also went to Tokyo Disney (Disney Sea)! Posted by Pete at 9:42 PM.

My host family had a huge birthday dinner for me. satoru-san and miyuki-san made tons of food. i had 7 friends come over. even though i'm in japan, ate cake with 21 candles in it. plus mom and dad sent the "2-1" candles over from home. fun night, then went to osaka afterwords. thanks for all the cards from good ole 'merica! 4 months in the land of the rising sun. Tuesday, October 04, 2005. Koya-San, Nara, Osaka. Also, the whole union group stayed in a old traditional ryokan temple inn. this means traditional japanese baths, robes, the whole deal.there's culture for ya. Osaka osaka is only 25 minutes away by train, so i go there alot. my friends and i went to osaka aquarium and then rode the worlds "tallest ferris wheel". among other things, the aquarium has a huge whale-shark and deep sea spiders.
