They are ribbons of shame! Expat moved back home, and goes back to expat. Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Ummm Happy New Year. 2012. In March. Ok I am late. My last post was in November… and now its March. Well, the lazy award goes to me for not updating my blog. Like most of my journal entries of past, they were abandoned after a few months, but I still hang on to them… I don’t know why. A nice little snack with the wife and mother-in-law. Ye ole mini tree. Christmas was pretty good actually. Here is a video ...

They are ribbons of shame!: August 2011
http://ellahrairah-bestofbothworlds.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
They are ribbons of shame! Expat moved back home, and goes back to expat. Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Shorompo, , yum! Well, I finally finished training for the new job. It was alright, and I learned a couple of new tricks. The new kind of contracts are a bit odd though, but I think I can thank the unions for that. Anyhow, it thankfully has cooled off quite a bit lately… not enough to be really comfortable, but enough not to feel like I am about to melt away. To be nice about it. They are a little more exp...

They are ribbons of shame! Expat moved back home, and goes back to expat. Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Music: Miles Davis. So what. Blogging is so incredibly new to me, and I really don't know its in and outs. The google layout is pretty self explanitory, but there are so many little things that aren't. I have a feeling I am spending way too much time on this, but I have to admit that there is an addictive edge to all of this. 6) I need to do the laundry. like now. Damn I have a headache now. Hard to see, but...

They are ribbons of shame!: November 2011
http://ellahrairah-bestofbothworlds.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
They are ribbons of shame! Expat moved back home, and goes back to expat. Saturday, November 26, 2011. Teaching and chillin, relaxing like a villian. I guess I will only be updating this blog sporadically. With such a small readership, I am sure no one will blame me. I have been incredibly lazy however. I won’t even try and claim that I have been busy. I really haven’t. I am just lazy about it, and would rather just play my PC games. So here’s to you! Japanese teachers that survive!

They are ribbons of shame!: Why did you come to Japan/Why do you like Japan?
http://ellahrairah-bestofbothworlds.blogspot.com/2012/03/why-did-you-come-to-japanwhy-do-you.html
They are ribbons of shame! Expat moved back home, and goes back to expat. Friday, March 30, 2012. Why did you come to Japan/Why do you like Japan? A question I get asked a lot is “Why did you come to Japan? 8221; or “Why do you like Japan? It is not an easy question for me answer, so I always have to be vague about it. I suppose it all started when I was in Elementary school in the early 1980s. Ninja stuff was all the rage, and honestly I could not tell the difference between China and the rest of Asia.

They are ribbons of shame!: Double post
http://ellahrairah-bestofbothworlds.blogspot.com/2012/06/double-post.html
They are ribbons of shame! Expat moved back home, and goes back to expat. Sunday, June 3, 2012. 8220;The spring is sprung, the grass is ris’, now I wonder where the Robin is? Cherry blossoms outside my place. I don’t know where that came from. When I was a child, my family would always go on a long trip by car, up to a 25 hour drive at one point, to my grandparent’s house. There was this one sign with that odd little poem that was never taken down and it became a landmark of sorts for us. Programming in ...

They are ribbons of shame!: October 2011

They are ribbons of shame! Expat moved back home, and goes back to expat. Monday, October 17, 2011. Blueberry, cheesecake pancakes. The second is Shogun Total War 2. I am a huge fan of the total war series. They are usually about 90% historically accurate and a great way to relive tumultuous times in history. The whole total war series started with Shogun… and this is such a beautifully rendered version. It gets my strategy fix on. And lastly is an older game… Mass Effect. Oh my god!

They are ribbons of shame!: September 2011
http://ellahrairah-bestofbothworlds.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
They are ribbons of shame! Expat moved back home, and goes back to expat. Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Life is now starting to settle into patterns, and I can honestly say I am giving it my 120% effort. Life in Japan is not at all like the first time I moved here. Of course I was single then, but I really threw around cash like an idiot back then. Really hot young mothers who look like they about to hit the club with a Gucci. I have also had photo filtering growing on me. I am probably a bit off when I s...

They are ribbons of shame!: So, that's what Odysseus felt like...
http://ellahrairah-bestofbothworlds.blogspot.com/2012/06/so-thats-what-odysseus-felt-like.html
They are ribbons of shame! Expat moved back home, and goes back to expat. Wednesday, June 6, 2012. So, that's what Odysseus felt like. If Lady Gaga and Bjork had binged on Gummy bears and nickel candy, this is what they would throw up). There is a big issue in Japan with Chikan チカン. Because it’s made me paranoid! I was saved in the end by a jack ass hauling off the train that nudged her enough that I could make a very obvious move for my umbrella. I just want my umbrella. Wednesday, June 06, 2012.

They are ribbons of shame!: June 2013
http://ellahrairah-bestofbothworlds.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
They are ribbons of shame! Expat moved back home, and goes back to expat. Sunday, June 16, 2013. Wow… It’s been a year since I last done one of these. Wow. Well, for my triumphant return I will talk about my train friends. What are train friends? I have no idea who these people really are, but I see them every day on my way to work and so I made up little names for them. If I don’t see anyone of them, I look around and make sure I am on the right train. So here they are, silly names and all:. I think she...
