Fuzz, Popie, The Lime & Doodlebug: October 2014
http://lavorandkimberly.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 28, 2014. This weekend (actually the last five days) have been busy! With a new calling (back in Primary after being gone for 4 months), a birthday cake to make and party to attend, a 2 hour practice for the Primary program, and our ward's Trunk or Treat, we've been on the go. The Lime wanted to be Bo from Dukes of Hazzard. My heart has been sad ever since. I had a conversation not too long ago with my sister about this exact situation. While the signs on our church buildings say "vi...

Fuzz, Popie, The Lime & Doodlebug: September 2014
http://lavorandkimberly.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2014. My best friend, who I haven't lived this close to in 18 years, is pregnant with her fifth sweetie pie and I was bound and determined to throw her a shower. I've been browsing Pinterest for months, gathering theme ideas, food ideas, game ideas, favor ideas, and so on. I used several of the ideas I found and I was pretty pleased with how it all came together. The candle's scent was fresh laundry (I think) and that's exactly what it smelled like! I was so excited to throw the sh...

Fuzz, Popie, The Lime & Doodlebug: December 2014
http://lavorandkimberly.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Christmas: Before, During, and After. LaVor was able to get the day before, and after, Christmas off and since we were with his parents this year (and had a missionary farewell in Livermore on the 28th), we drove down to the Bay Area for the festivities. After we got back to LaVor's parents', his dad read the Christmas story from the scriptures (a tradition in LaVor's family). Doodlebug just ate all the animals while the story was read. The Lime started off wrestling with La...

Fuzz, Popie, The Lime & Doodlebug: Road Trip
http://lavorandkimberly.blogspot.com/2015/08/road-trip.html
Monday, August 3, 2015. LaVor had to work in the Bay Area last week, which worked out perfectly because we were already planning on going to visit my niece for her birthday. As I was sorting laundry, preparing to wash it before we left, LaVor called me with the news that his grandfather suddenly passed away that morning. We didn't know much but knew that we'd most likely be heading out of town later that week for the services. Have I ever mentioned that I've never driven to Utah? But, we made it! We got ...

Fuzz, Popie, The Lime & Doodlebug: January 2015
http://lavorandkimberly.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 19, 2015. We are recovering from a fun weekend of celebrating The Lime's birthday. When LaVor asked him what his favorite part was, he answered with, "my cake." Bless his heart! But there was much more to his birthday than that. While everyone played, I sat with a napping Doodlebug and remembered why I hadn't been to Chuck E Cheese in over twenty years. Holy loud! Before we knew it, it was time for everyone to head home. The Lime had a wonderful first day to his two-day celebration! He go...

Fuzz, Popie, The Lime & Doodlebug: July 2014
http://lavorandkimberly.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2014. The Lime has been on a girlfriend kick - saying he wants one, asking if I'm LaVor's girlfriend, talking about what dates he'd go on with his girlfriend. It's a hoot. I've been secretly waiting for the day when The Lime would tell me he wants to marry me. It seems like every little boy says that to their mom. And it turns out, I don't have to wait anymore. After lunch today, The Lime jumped into my arms and gave me a big hug while saying, "I want to marry you! Posted by Kimberly S.

Fuzz, Popie, The Lime & Doodlebug: August 2014
http://lavorandkimberly.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 31, 2014. I took a picture of yesterday's mail, in preparation for today's subject. I was getting ready to e-mail it to myself when I realized I didn't save it. Since we don't get mail on Sundays, my e-mail will have to do. I just spent about 10 minutes e-mailing all of the photos on my (flip) phone to my e-mail. As I finished the last one, LaVor said, "You know we have a cord that plugs into your phone and the computer so you don't have to do this, right? It's blurry for safety reasons.

Fuzz, Popie, The Lime & Doodlebug: February 2015
http://lavorandkimberly.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. My grandmother was welcomed home, in heaven, yesterday by her parents, siblings, and spouse. She was 89 years old. I was laying in my bed last night, attempting to fall asleep but too overcome with thoughts and emotions, I was trying to rack my brain of every memory I have of Grandma. I want to record all that I can so my posterity will get a glimpse of the outstanding lady she was. These last (almost) 2 years that we've been able to live closer to Grandma have been a blessing ...

Fuzz, Popie, The Lime & Doodlebug: Nut Tree
http://lavorandkimberly.blogspot.com/2015/08/nut-tree.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. As one last hoorah before school starts, my sister and I met up today at the Nut Tree for the kiddos to visit and play. But it's been YEARS since I've visited, and they've changed it drastically. Now it's filled with various shops but still has the carousel and train, which is what we wanted to see. Sometimes I hate all the rules we have to follow, especially when I feel like my way is better. Nevertheless, Doodlebug had fun as did The Lime and my niece. We had so much fun with m...

Fuzz, Popie, The Lime & Doodlebug: April 2015
http://lavorandkimberly.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 23, 2015. Ready, Aim, Fire. Over the years, I've come to realize that my grandmothers are/were worry warts. They were always worried the babies would get trampled by the older kids, or they'd be late to an appointment, or their personal belongings would fall out of their walkers and into the trunk of my car and the item would be lost forever. Lots of worrying. That's who I blame my excessive worrying on. I worry about everything! But we all have to do things we don't like sometimes. O...
