There is a filters render halftone that is the basic starting point, but the effect is a bit random. The dots vary in size based on the image pixel data, which is not how the plates actually work. I’m a full-time pre-press operations analyst for a media giant. That started almost 8 years ago, and we mostly print on the most in-expensive garbage paper ever created for printing. The halftones are visible from the naked eye and the colors are constantly contaminated. So far this blog is just devoted to a recent project of mine which is art on canvas.
