Monday, February 23, 2009. I heard birds chirping today! Highlights of semester #2 so far [in no particular order]:. 1 soaking up the few warm days we've had. 2 500th weekend at West Point with Derek. 3 making photographs with a medium format camera. 4 new friendships.a gift from God. 5 walking through the greenhouse at ISU. 6 discovering new my favorite Starbucks drink.a hazelnut mocha [one pump each, nonfat, extra hot, with whip]. 7 seeing the Lord's blessings amidst my frantically busy life.

Sunday, August 16, 2009. Alright, so when I started this blog last year, I thought it would be easy to keep this thing updated. as you can see, that has not been the case. I figured it might be a good time to update. Yesterday marked three months of being engaged to Derek! I can't believe it's been that long already. his surprise visit home for the proposal was may 15. we are on the countdown to june 4, 2010 .wedding day! Have a great week! Welcome back kara jo! A day in the life of our family.the ups, the downs, and all of the silly things in between! Sunday, April 21, 2013. Race for the Cure. Race for the Cure was in Indy on Saturday. Mom finished her last round of radiation on Thursday. So.it we had a great reason to celebrate! Miss Alexa proudly holding a team sign. The kids were able to do races before the walk. Dad, Ginny and Joanie hanging out before the race (FREEZING)! I literally can't imagine life without my mom. So thankful. So very thankful.

And, I sent another baby off to school for all-day kindergarten. J.D. had Mrs. Tittle for his Kindergarten class and Alexa has Mrs. Jones for her 2nd grade class. We prayed for a great year for them! And we are so thankful for great teachers to help make this year the best that it can be! Two full years between them!

Alexa fell in love with the Indy zoo this summer and wanted to go back for her birthday. So, she invited 3 friends and we went for the day. It turned out to be a perfect day. Cool, sunny, and a great little group of girls! It was actually easier having 6 kids than having just my 3 I think! Ty finally escaped from the stroller for a short bit! How cool is that?
