My journey of the adoption of my daughter from the Artem Baby Home near Vladivostok, Russia. Sunday, July 12, 2009. We have just been BUSY! Tori has been home for 2 and a half months now and continues to learn and grow in every way.well almost. I weighed her yesterday and much to my dismay she weighs the same as see did with her first Dr. visit.a whopping 22 pounds! I do wish she would have gained some weight by now. I am feeding her I promise =). It was absolute fun! The ladies absolutely enjoyed her!

Last weekend we had a welcome home party for Tori. It was tons of fun and she had an amazing time meeting new family and friends. I walked her to a teacher to hand her off because she would cry, yes for four weeks. It was so frustrating, but what really did not help with that is she would bring the other moms to tears as they stood outside the kindergarten gate seeing their children off. Oh my gosh! Victoria is my mom's name and my great-grandmother's name. Irina is her birth name and she was known as Ira (Ear-ah). Rae was my grandmother's middle name.
