JD: SCARPA Alien 1.0 vs. Dynafit Dy.N.A EVO
http://jasondorais.blogspot.com/2013/01/scarpa-alien-10-vs-dynafit-evo.html
Wednesday, January 23, 2013. SCARPA Alien 1.0 vs. Dynafit Dy.N.A EVO. I spent the last half of the 2012 season in the EVO and absolutely loved them and have half of this season in the Alien 1.0 and feel the same. So which is better? Here's a brief side by side (all numbers are from a size 27.0). Andy on White Baldy. Alien 1.0 shell: 610g Liner: 111g Total: 721g/boot (1.58lbs). EVO shell: 566g Liner: 124g Total: 690g/boot (1.52lbs). Alien 1.0: 287mm. EVOs on a speed run up Mt. Rainier. I don't really....

Wednesday, June 13, 2012. Salt Lake Skyline Traverse - Version 1.0. A few months ago, while driving on I-15, Andy looked east at the skyline and suggested we traverse everything. At first I thought it was a horrible idea. Five minutes later I was in. We chatted about Noah Howell's Perverse Traverse. Andy heading toward the Lone Peak summit ridge. Bells Canyon from Lone. JD: New Pfeifferhorn FKT?
http://jasondorais.blogspot.com/2012/07/pfeifferhron-speed-record.html
Thursday, July 19, 2012. Last year I time trialed the Pfeifferhorn and thought I came away with a fastest known time (FKT). Turns our faster times were known. I ran a time of 1:07 from the White Pine parking lot to the summit but Karl Meltzer had run 1:06:10, I just didn't know that. When I heard this I figured I better go up there and give it another go. JD: The La Sal Traverse
http://jasondorais.blogspot.com/2014/03/the-la-sal-traverse.html
Monday, March 31, 2014. The La Sal Traverse. Only problem was that Andy and I had. To race for Outdoor Research in the Gore Tex/Elk Mountain Grand Traverse. We had been planning on racing and since the Grand Traverse is such an inspiring course (Crested Butte to Aspen) we were happy to forego favorable conditions to head to CB and give it a go. On the OR website they state, ". Our tribe is devoted to exploring our outdoor passions and challenging ourselves in the. Mountains." Christian was up for a.
JD: The White Rim Trail - Canyonlands
http://jasondorais.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-white-rim-trail-canyonlands.html
Wednesday, May 13, 2015. The White Rim Trail - Canyonlands. I've never really loved riding a bike. In fact, the few rides I've done this year have been mediocre at best. With this bad of attitude I decided to join Andy, Tom, and Jason Prigge on the White Rim Trail in Canyonlands. I had heard it was a classic ride but all I could picture in my mind was a white, dusty road full of vans providing support for over weight cyclists. May 19, 2015 at 12:55 PM. Vertical Logic: October 2013
http://verticallogic.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 29, 2013. After some early October storms we've had extended high pressure here in Utah. I've contented myself with time trialing local foothills and building fitness for when the snow does fly. Last weekend Jason. And I had grand ideas for stringing together local peaks. Unfortunately there was enough snow up high to make travel difficult and ultimately force us to bail on original plans. A bull moose had us bushwacking for 20 minutes on Timp. Lone S Summit via the Hamongogs in 1:52.

Newer posts →. March 7, 2014. In 2010 the Thunderbolt Ski Runners. Even after two consecutive years of disappointment, the TSR was resolute and again planned Thunderfest weekend with the down-mountain race on Saturday and with the help of NE Rando Race Series. The time passed quickly while mingling with fellow racers. The first climb strung out the pack ...

Sunday, January 11, 2015. A Year That is Coming Together. This year, after some running soul searching I have chosen to do a few things differently than the last couple of years. And as long as I can stay injury free and get in some good training, I plan to be very busy. First and foremost my focus this year will be to make http:/ trailandultrarunning.com. In what has become a winter to remember, the 2011 ski season keeps rocking on here in the Sierra. In Christian Pondella’s. Climbing was fairly easy thanks to a supportable layer under the foot or so of new snow. The new snow bonded well with the old and showed no signs of weaknesses or wind affect. We were psyched!
