May 27, 2015. 1 we got 30 hours a month of respite so that jason can attend a special program on saturdays. 2 we got deemed for medi-Cal so jason can now have disability based -eligibility for insurance. 3 A behavioral consultant will come to our house to help us teach Jason how to do things like wash his hands, etc and be more independent. Special needs parenting resources. Chronicling Jason's developmental journey. April 13 IEP and April 27 Regional Center →. March 9, 2015. So far the county regional center has seen jason twice. Once at school when he was just reading in class. The behavioral pediatrician told me that children less severe than Jason receive eligibility and that I should definitely appeal if they reject him. that was helpful information! March 30 is our final appointment and the decision will be handed down that day.

I knew I only had a few weeks left to. Pack in the fun before we were back to "real life.". We took so many trips this summer. That I was sort of looking forward to having a schedule again. So we've been taking advantage of the warm weather. And playing outside (as much as the mosquitoes will allow). We celebrated Pop's birthday with sub sandwiches and strawberry cake. Our friend Margaret and her son, Kord joined us at the beach this year! Pop and Nana couldn't stay the whole week,. But they came down for the weekend to celebrate Anna's birthday. So the latest update is we are deciding to apply for a private K-8 school for children with learning disabilities. This will allow a more consistent positive environment for him. The school is not very far from our home and has a good reputation. However, we are not sure they will accept our child due to his behavior and we are also not sure we can financially do it. So we are stepping out in faith to try this.
