Saturday, October 11, 2008. Today I attended a Muay Thai boxing match at my gym. It was an intense workout. Not only did it wear out my muscles to punch, kick, block for an hour and a half, but holding pads to be kicked and punched by a much larger guy left me feeling pretty tired and worn down. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. So, I just got back to my flat after attending the Postgraduate Induction. It was great to finally get a sense that we're part of a larger LSE community and to hear about the resources on campus. Some highlights that I find worth sharing:. The past three nights I have taken advantage of the great speakers that have come through campus talking about subjects ranging from climate change to the financial crisis. On Monday night I attended a talk on climate change by Sir David King. Tuesday night brought Thomas Friedman. To campus to speak about his new book: Hot, Flat and Crowded. Friday, October 24, 2008. Hadrian Exhibit at British Museum. Yesterday I went to the British Museum with my flatmate, Alex, to see the exhibit on the reign of Emperor Hadrian.
