Behind the Songs

Wednesday, May 27, 2009. This song was written in response to a direct request from my senior pastor to have a song to close each of our services that would function as a sort of signature song for our congregation and that would leave us thinking missionaly as we leave from church each Sunday. The second verse takes a line from our vision statement when it says "I will Proclaim your kingdom. Anthem, and definitely a signature song four our congregation! Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Behind the Songs: Beautiful

http://jasonmcgibbonproject.blogspot.com/2009/05/bautiful.html

Tuesday, May 12, 2009. In this chapter Paul shares his heart that his own people (the Israelites) would come to faith and be saved. As a part of that discussion Paul lists the conditions necessary to call on Christ and be saved. This list is found in Romans 10:14-15, and is the verse that Go used to call them to Missions and upon which my song is based:. How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?

Jason McGehee on Energy and Control. San Diego and Natural Gas Power Plants. May 23, 2010. It is a known fact that the renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal, cannot supply all of the energy that an industrial economy requires. At best, they can subsidize the traditional methods of generating electricity: power supplies of natural gas, coal, nuclear, and hydroelectric. Natural gas power plants are used to pick up the slack that the renewable power plants cannot produce. May 19, 2010.

The Jason McGibbon Blog

Tuesday, July 8, 2014. Last week we had the privilege of helping to lead our Canadian National Baptist Convention annual conference. It was two powerful days spent in the historic Jarvis Street Baptist Church during which we met together to share, learn, celebrate and give thanks for what God is doing across the nation. Although I did miss some of the business portion of the convention as I was setting things up for the afternoon, I did manage to catch two portions. It was a great week to celebrate all t...
