Jess explains it all: What I do
http://jessexplainsitall.blogspot.com/2010/06/what-i-do.html
Wednesday, June 16, 2010. I always tell people what I do what my occupation is and often get confused looks. I usually have to give a little more explanation. To help people understand but sometimes I get the feeling that others, even ones close to me, don't really truly. Understand what my job is. Usually when I say I'm a therapist, most people immediately nod their heads and say "oh yeah, a physical therapist! And then I have to correct them by saying "no, like a mental therapist.". I am one of the two...

Jess explains it all: You are what you eat
http://jessexplainsitall.blogspot.com/2010/08/you-are-what-you-eat.html
Tuesday, August 10, 2010. You are what you eat. Yep, its probably processed, fake food. Even though we may believe we are eating healthy food based on the calorie and fat information the truth is, our bodies don't really recognize and understand how to process this fake food. It can cause you to feel a lack of energy, to gain weight, have digestion problems, headaches, and even more. That's scary to me! I first hand know how maintaining. Affects all aspects of our lives. I personally feel that organic fo...

Jess explains it all: You are beautiful!
http://jessexplainsitall.blogspot.com/2011/03/you-are-beautiful.html
Friday, March 25, 2011. Recently, I was driving on the interstate here in Birmingham and saw a huge painted sign on a bridge that said " You are beautiful. I smiled to myself and must admit that seeing it made my day. Now, I know it wasn't written directly to me, but to all women and people who see the sign in hopes for them to smile and recognize their own. The signs are great and got me to think about how important self worth and self esteem are in women today. The more you say "oh I have such big hips!

Jess explains it all: Waiting for Superman
http://jessexplainsitall.blogspot.com/2010/10/waiting-for-superman.html
Monday, October 18, 2010. I recently learned of a documentary that is being shown in certain cities called "Waiting for Superman". After hearing that this was focused on children in America and our education system, I thought that I really didn't have a strong need to watch this since I, a.)am not in school b.) don't have a child, and c.) therefore don't have a child in school. Stupid me to think that! No one truly believes that they can do better? Give up on yourself doing anything difficult, it just is...

http://jessexplainsitall.blogspot.com/2010/09/i-know-im-getting-older-when.html
Wednesday, September 22, 2010. I know I'm getting older when. I'm in bed by 9pm on a weeknight and on the weekends I "sleep in" until 8:30. I no longer watch "The Real World". I wear pearl earrings regularly instead of large hoops. I often think the TV. Or music is turned up too loud. "It's hurting. I will have my I.D. ready to show my birth date. When purchasing alcohol and the cashier says "I don't need it.". I haven't been to Waffle house or Krystal in over a year. Grocery shopping is fun. OkayI was g...

Jess explains it all: 10 Months!
http://jessexplainsitall.blogspot.com/2013/03/10-months.html
Saturday, March 9, 2013. I am about a week behind on this month's update but better late than never, right? I guess this is a perfect example of how our little man has us constantly busy! Here is the stats for this past month:. He is wearing size 9-12 month clothes. Size 4-5 diapers (depends on the brand). I estimate that he weighs around 21lbs. He is crawling all over! We have had to put a baby gate to separate our living room from the rest of the house, which has been a lifesaver. Learning how to use t...
