Tuesday, 27 May 2008. It's been far too long! So this will be a long entry! The big news is that I did manage to beat my target of doubling my birth-weight by the time I reached six months old. In fact, three days before I was six months old I weighed 14lbs 15oz, which was an ounce over my target! Mummy got a new camera last week so has been driving Connor, Dirk and me mad taking pictures and filming us all the time! Tuesday, 1 April 2008. That's a whole pound in the last fortnight! Look how pleased I am!

31 July, 2007. Dirk in the Abbey. 30 July, 2007. Dirk went with Mummy and Daddy to see the midwife. He heard the baby's heartbeat that you are hearing now. On the way home, he walked along a wall! 29 July, 2007. Dirk, Mummy, Daddy and Connor all went to a birthday lunch today. It was his Great-Granny's eightieth birthday on 15 July and will be his Great Grandad's on 16 August. So, they celebrated both together at the Flying Fox. Afterwoods, everyvody went to Granny and Grandad's house to cut the cake.

24 February, 2008. Someone told me it's all happenin'. This week, Dirk learned to say a new word: "Giraffe.". So, Mummy bought him a toy giraffe. Dirk loved it so much that today Mummy and Daddy took him to the zoo. Here he is in the ticket queue, regarding the other children with unconcealed suspicion. At this moment in Dirk's life, giraffes were four inches high and lions were a Flash animation. Boy, was he in for a surprise. Penguins. No stammering. Favourite. (And his latest word! Two years old today!

28 May, 2007. Now that we're having some hot weather, Dirk enjoys the breeze he gets by putting his face up to the Air Conditioning. Nice hair-do Dirk! 20 May, 2007. This afternoon, Dirk went swimming at Bletchley Leisure Centre. He enjoyed his new rubber ring and splashing Big Brother Connor. Afterwards, he went for a picnic in Pages Park and watched the steam trains. He ran a very long way and on the way back to the car, bumped into his cousins Lewis and Joshua, who were there with their Mum and Dad.
