Tuesday, September 27, 2011. We took West to his first baseball game on Sunday. I only snapped a couple of pictures, but these pretty much sum up the 2 hours we were there. (If we even made it 2 hours! We showed up late, around the bottom of the fifth inning, and took our seats. Lower level, nice view. West lasted here for about 30 minutes. Thursday, August 11, 2011. Seriously though, listen to West. Every time I read/sing a story, he enjoys singing along. He loves books and we probably read at least 10 a day. Since I am taking some time off, he is lucky enough to have inherited all of my picture books. Today, while reading Down by the Bay. Friday Feast: Epic Awesome Cornbread. February 15, 2013. There’s not a lot of cornbread that I’ve enjoyed in my lifetime. Always dry, boring… truly, a waste of calories. But, my mother-in-law always nails it. Like, better-than-soft-bread good. When I asked about the recipe, she referenced the Fannie Farmer cookbook. Modified from the Fannie Farmer Cookbook). 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal. Just under 1 cup flour. 3 teaspoons baking powder. 1 egg, well beaten. 2 tablespoons bacon fat (yes). February 12, 2013.

Monday, March 26, 2012. Our BIG 19 Month Old! I had big plans for updating this blog and putting a post about my big 18 month old last month, but somehow a whole month has already passed and now West is19 months old! Where has the time gone? He is soooo big now! West has been a trouper and been handling the move into our new home amazingly! Especially considering I have been moving him back and forth between his room and the new babies room as we paint walls, doors and just try to get things livable here!
