June 15, 2010. We arrived to the clinic and when the doctor entered the room, he scooped my boy gently into his arms, sat down beside us and told us our boy had diabetes. My heart sank at the realization that my suspicions were correct and my husband was inconsolable. As for his glucose reading, the number was so large it didn't register on the meter. I'm scared and I don't know what the future holds for us, but I am committed to the survival of my son and the fight for a cure. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
