Out of fear, he flees his home in Corinth, hoping he can avoid ever fulfilling Apollo’s prophecy. Unfortunately, after Oedipus flees Corinth and believes his parents are safe, he comes to the realization that, as King of Thebes, has come true. So how was Oedipus able to kill his parents? Were they disgusted with him, after he said he would kill and curse the one who killed Laius?
