Born in 1970 in Thrissur (Kerala, India), P.V. Jayan received his training and artistic guidence from K. Srinivasulu, Antony Devassy (Kerala Kala Bhavan, Thrissur), Ludwig Pesch and several renowned artists. He was awarded a first class diploma by the Kalakshetra College Of Fine Arts (Chennai). For five years, he served Kalakshetra (an institution affiliated with The Goverment of India) as artist, designer and photographer in its Craft Education and Reserch Centre. Kerala Sangita Nataka Academy (Thrissur).
