I've worked for a long time with my friend, the composer Tim Risher, as part of Paragaté, a fluid group that Tim started in the late 1980s. Our thirty-year collaboration has been a big influence on me. Others threads are a lifetime of close listening to many kinds of music, and training in composition, piano, and chamber music. Posted by Tom DePlonty. In the late 1980s, I thought about writing a set of songs, or an oratorio, using words from William Blake's poem The Book of Urizen. Is Blake's version of The Fall, written in the voice of a prophet. I was never able to finish the piece, which was out of my reach for a lot of reasons. James Bates Skills Workshop. Monday, 14 March 2011. Rather than being and isolated object on my poster the form I produced was designed to be used as an element of the type for my poster. I had to merge 3 photos of each individual form to get the desired image I wanted as the images with all 3 forms on weren't sufficient. With Richard Sweeney's help I attached the forms using string to a broom which we then dangled over the infinity background. Task 1, Take 2! Once again I formed the individual circles.

The Adventures of Jay. As I walked home from a little family meeting, I observed a bird as it built its nest. As it built, it would accidentley knock down the nest and have to start over.
