March 16, 1940 - February 28, 2009. In Feburary of 2009 my only sister, Betty died. She had been diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer in November of 2008, but since they had caught it early we all expected her to beat it. She began aggressive Chemo and Radiation Therapy, but ultimately her liver failed. She went into coma and never woke up. A Letter to Betty. Hey there, how's Heaven? I got Daddy's dark brown hair (which I later dyed auburn! And hazel eyes, and Mom's temperment - noisey! Eventually, as the da...

Janet's Dragons!
http://www.janetweaves.com/Janet's_Dragons.html
I have a facination for dragons and have begun a small collection of them, most of which are perched on a couple of shelves above my desk at home. My love of the Harry Potter series has contributed to my dragon adoration. Wish I could locate the four tiny dragons that the candidates each drew from the drawstring bag during the movie Goblet of Fire! Here are my little dragons. Glass Dragon close up. 2 Headed Dragon and Knight.

My most favorite tapestry :-). Created on the loom above, this tapestry is called My Lumpy, Bumpy Mountain. Inspired by Mount Diablo (which lives behind my house, and for which it bears no true resemblance) this tapestry became very bulgy due to the textured yarns I used. So I stuffed it! And its still my favorite piece! This much larger tapestry was created on my 46 Gilmore floor loom. I call it Echo because of the tripple sunsets that just happened as I wove it. Vision of the Sun.

Some of my Blanket projects:. Close-up of Rainbow blanket (seen completed above) was created from a pattern given in HandWoven Magazine, May 2008 issue. This was a challenging project for me as a fairly new weaver. Each separate pattern had to be set one at a time. But once it's all set up all you do is weave! Same colors, different pattern. And some fringe on the top and bottom.
