I have to admit that working in the office before they got here was pretty boring and I wasn’t too motivated, but now things are a lot better. I had to give a short...

Tuesday, December 16, 2008. Nanaimo - Vancouver Island. I snuck out for another long weekend to 'The Island' with a buddy who's got a place in Nanaimo. Here's the view from Ian's porch. Ian grew up around Nanaimo, so he had a bead on the local crabbin spots. We biked around Nanaimo for a day, then got up to Cumberland for some damp north shore-esque singletrack. Bottoms up at the Dinghy Dock. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Nanaimo - Vancouver Island. View my complete profile. Tim and Cor Blog.

Saturday, January 24, 2009. Year of the Ox. As we transition into the year of the ox, one can't help but to sit back and reminisce. Hummmmmmmm. 2008 was great to me on many levels, and despite the difficult times that many are facing around the world right now, I can only hope that people will learn to simplify and enjoy their lives and all of the wonderful things that life brings. We had some beautiful weather for Thanksgiving at home. Lots to be thankful for. Night out in Delafield. Year of the Ox.

After a smooth border crossing, we found ourselves in the lovely British Columbia, eh. Spent our first day on Blackcomb Mtn, where another storm blew in 10 cm of fresh, eh!

I don't think that I can fully process, appreciate, wrap up, or realize how my time in the Peace Corps has affected and will affect me. Like any so called "life changing" experience, the aftershocks will reverberate for a long time, and the residue will never fully wash off. My new phone number is. (314)766-2289. Thickness and Touch | A woman walks down the road with her trembling hands shielding her eyes.
A woman walks down the road with her trembling hands shielding her eyes. Something was on fire behind me. And i was thinking of a face. When i saw a mouse in the dark. Just sitting in my path as a stone. Small pretty mouse, creamy grey. I bent toward it with my camera. Knowing the flash would scare. It away but i did it anyway. It ran away. i learned a lesson. About mice and how they are. Afraid of bright flashes of light. In the dark with a fire behind me. I took pictures of things that would. In the fi...
