http://pleasepassthebrain.blogspot.com/2010/03/procrastination-at-its-best.html
The writings of a mom who sometimes loses her mind. Quotes from the kids. D- (Talking about the baby) "She said I love you. Did you hear her? She said wah wah wah.that's I love you in spanish.". We are sitting down talking at the start of a play. I tell the kids, "This is like a movie theater. You shouldn't talk." D chimes in, "And turn off your cell phones.". In the car I say, "No more messing around. Period." J replies, "Don't you mean exclamation mark? D- "Can I have some farties? No" "Is it too cold?

Doris Day Parking: July 2010

Olé Olé Olé Olé. So guess what I just got in the mail? My very own jersey for the current world champions of futbol. When I left Spain after spending 2 years there as a missionary the only souvenir I took home was the 1994 jersey. Unfortunately I left it in a hotel room a few years back so I was thrilled when I came home today and found this jersey in the mail. Thank you Mom! I haven't been this excited since Spain won the world cup. In case the kitty on her cheek in a previous post. But rest assured onc...

Doris Day Parking: November 2010

Halloween 2010: Lion and Miner and Bunny (with a Picnic).Oh My! Creative costume. Fantastic. So I deal with all of it the way that I deal with lots of stress-causing activities: I ignore it. Then, suddenly, it's the last minute and then- wait-a-second- now it's REALLY stressful. You think that I'd learn, but so far, no. So this year, while I abandoned Adam and the kids on the night before the school parade and ward party to go see Bobby McFerrin as the guest on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me. Two and then some.

Stat chew off flip are tee. I felt like this was quite the coincidence since just the week before we had taken the kids up to NYC for some NYC touring with our friends Challey and Spencer (more on their visit later) and taken these photos. It was hard to believe that the last time we went to the island Max looked like this:. And the twin towers were still standing:. If you look closely you can see some resemblance between the young Max (here he is at Jones beach). Who's ready for a cast party? By Jennett...

Happenings at the Hale Home: Vacation, take 2
http://brycenandsuzy.blogspot.com/2011/08/vacation-take-2.html
Happenings at the Hale Home. Monday, August 1, 2011. Vacation, take 2. Last week Brycen and I returned from beautiful Southern Utah where we stayed with dear friends and family in Grover. Nope, not that Grover. This small town was actually named after president Grover Cleveland, although before that the town was known as Carcass Creek. It sounds odorous, but Grover is actually one of my very favorite places to visit. Even Mom gave it a shot. People make it look soooo easy. But it's a challenge. You are h...

Happenings at the Hale Home: Disneyland Vacation
http://brycenandsuzy.blogspot.com/2015/02/disneyland-vacation.html
Happenings at the Hale Home. Tuesday, February 3, 2015. It's been a long. Time since we've been to Disneyland (15 years for me, and 17 for Brycen, but who's counting? This trip was definitely a wonderful trip down memory lane. We are in California for a work trip, but woke up super early (3:30am! To rush down a day early for some fun. We got to Anaheim around 12:30 and rushed over to Disneyland right away. Lines were short and the weather was great - it was really a perfect time of year to come visit!

Happenings at the Hale Home: Our Story
http://brycenandsuzy.blogspot.com/2015/01/our-story.html
Happenings at the Hale Home. Monday, January 19, 2015. If you're here reading, I hope it's to learn more about Brycen and I and our hopes to adopt. It's been a long time since either of us has posted on this blog, but we thought now would be a good time to resurrect it. Our goal is to be open and inviting to any inquiries you may have. Thanks for considering us! Did we try fertility treatments? Yep, we did! Check, tried it! Instead, a few more months went by with us waiting. That's a lot of what infe...

Happenings at the Hale Home: March 2015
http://brycenandsuzy.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Happenings at the Hale Home. Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Zane and the Vacuum. Our dog Zane thinks the vacuum is his best friend. We know this is true by the way he runs around trying to play with it whenever we turn it on. Also, one day when we left it out, we saw him trying to share a toy with it. Vacuums are ill-equipped to play tug-o-war unless they are plugged in. While he loves his curious friend, the vacuum, he is also simultaneously afraid of it. This is probably my (Suzys) fault. Doris Day Parking: November 2011

Two-for One: Baptism and Blessing. We had one day in October where we were lucky enough to get all the planets aligned and all the grandparents in town while Aunt Jayne was still here and (most importantly) baby Soren was older than 2 days so I felt like I was with-it enough to shower and leave the house, so we did some last minute planning and, voila, were able to have Olivia's baptism and Soren's blessing all on that day. It was a lovely, lovely day- in every way. A most frightening Vampire. Of course ...

Doris Day Parking: February 2011

Catching up: Christmas 2010. Better late than never, here's the record that we actually celebrated Christmas in 2010. This year we got to stay home and Auntie Kami and Sha-sha came to us. Kami hadn't even had a full day in NY after flying in from Oakland when she was willing to brave the holiday traffic on Amtrak and come down. She even brought me a personal selection of treasures from the Berkeley Bowl. It was a very Merry Christmas to me already. As for Christmas Day. I made this stuffed pumpkin. The d...
