Old Ways and New Days. Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Photo update for May. Started to find the newt on the ground. Two years ago, my father shot a gobbler who had newts in its craw. My second bearded tooth. It is growing a piece of tree where a beaver was chewing. If you look close enough you can see the top right hand corner of the mushroom has been bitten. My favorite seat in the world. Looking down stream from the pond. Chad landed a few decent sized bass on this trip. Who wants to go fishing in a swamp?

Old Ways and New Days. Thursday, August 9, 2012. Lock 3, Spaghetti Sauce, and a Shelf. We have been fishing lock 3 lately, I have been building a shelf for some of my grandfathers books, and I have been making the most of my garden and Sarah Miller's wonderful homemade spaghetti sauce recipe. Here is her recipe, this is a great use for veggies from the garden and it tastes great no matter what you put in it. (I blended a baby zucchini into it last night). That's a big tree der bud.
