I'm Thankful for the Thorns: February 2008
http://imthankfulforthethorns.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 04, 2008. A little taste of my world. Stole this from Chelsea: who stole it from Mel. Tuesday. And after working the grave yard shift I will go out to lunch with a bus load of Alzheimer's residents from work, who really appreciate being able to go out and do something different, even if they don't know where they are. I am loved, I have a job, My family is healthy and happy. I have a great family! My brother to find that perfect job that makes him shine like the wonderful person he is.

I'm Thankful for the Thorns: March 2009
http://imthankfulforthethorns.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 26, 2009. I believe things are look up. Sitting here reading over my last post, I was in quite a slump. I'm happy to report, things are looking up. An ad was placed in the local paper. The responses were overwhelming. Each day I got 20-30 applications for one open position. They were mechanics, accountants, teachers, and a host of others. Not too many had real long term care experience, let alone activity programming experience. God Bless. Good Night. Tuesday, March 10, 2009. The week end...

Girl Raised in the South: Groovy Grammy
http://lifeofgrits.blogspot.com/2010/05/groovy-grammy.html
Girl Raised in the South. Saturday, May 1, 2010. Yesterday we headed out on a field trip to Target and when Grayson told me 'Target is boring' I put my fingers in my ears and pushed ahead. I haven't been in a Target for over a month so I was pretty thrilled. We did make a stop at Sonic for milkshakes to keep it fair. Watered Sarah's garden and fed their dogs. Did they kiss the tops of their heads one more time, even though they were asleep and would never know? You know what I love? May 1, 2010 at 9:33 AM.

Sweet Tea and Sass. Lover of all things southern, with sass thrown in for good measure. I’m lost in a book. Settling in for a cozy weekend…. January 8, 2011. So to finish the rambling conversation we were having…. New grandbaby is a B.O.Y! Our new car is N.E.W! My daughter-in-law, Janae told me about these socks. They are low cut to wear with tennis shoes, but the best thing about them is the little extra part added on at the back of the heel. They are absolutely fabulous to wear! From → Heartstrings.

Sweet Tea and Sass. Lover of all things southern, with sass thrown in for good measure. I’m lost in a book. There but for the grace of God…. January 11, 2011. It was so much work, just to make it in the door, her walker banging and bumping against the frame. While she was settling into the chair by the check-in desk, I asked her ‘how are you today? 8217; She lifted her head, looked at me and said, ‘I don’t feel very good today.’. How do you reach a point in life where your eyes are that dull? God, help m...

I'm Thankful for the Thorns: Looking out for each other...........
http://imthankfulforthethorns.blogspot.com/2009/01/looking-out-for-each-other.html
Sunday, January 25, 2009. Looking out for each other. I know six or seven dollars don’t seem like much, but it can be an awful lot if you running short. Raising my own daughter, I can remember seeing how far I could stretch twenty or thirty dollars sometimes. Somehow, with God’s help, we managed but sometimes not without the help of prayer. God is so good. I am so glad I checked your blog tonight, and you are so right that all of us can do some things to help those worse off than we are. Verse of the Day.
