Andy in America: June 2007
http://smellyirishman.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 26, 2007. Out of the ordinary. Saturday was spent back in Coney Island for the mermaid parade. I thought I had missed the parade since it occurs on the first Saturday of the summer, but apparently the summer doesn't start at the start of June like I was told? Dar be scurvy pirates all along these here parades; yar. In keeping with PG13. Costume made from discarded metro cards. Very impressive; wouldn't you agree Sinead? That's what kids are for. We proclaimed, suicidally. After another walk...

Andy in America: November 2010

Thursday, November 25, 2010. What a difference a day makes. If I had been writing this blog on Tuesday instead of Thursday you'd be getting a much different show! Fortunately there has been some more signs of promise today and yesterday so I'm happy as I sit down and write this! The last week has consisted of a lot of sitting in the room for the day, refreshing craigslist and job sites looking for any new postings. She just refused to sit nice and still for a decent picture. Boards on the walls detailing...

Andy in America: March 2007
http://smellyirishman.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 31, 2007. So, where did I leave off? Yesterday, we spent the day calling around the potential rentals and trying to arrange some viewings. Before we could do that though, we had to have a fry, why? Why not. After being ripped off yet again for some suasages and rashers, we made our way home to burn Carmel's house to the ground. It turned out great in the end though, and I think Gary shall be the house chef from here on. Gonna go and view some more places, and perhaps re-visit the first ap...

Andy in America: July 2007
http://smellyirishman.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 23, 2007. Saturday wasn't filled with too much excitement as I had misplaced my traveling guides and when I went into the city to go places, I didn't know where they were so just spent the day walking about and lazing in Central Park. Once I was reunited with my precious books, I was ready to hit the museums on Sunday. My first destination was the Museum of Modern Art in NYC, thankfully I got in at a discount with my student card because this place bored me almost to tears. When I finally es...

Wednesday, May 30, 2007. A weekend to remember. Management would like to sincerely apologise for the disruption to your regularly scheduled blog but we are now back in operation and urge you to sit back, get comfortable and read. I'll cut to the chase since you're such an impatient bunch! It was painful to sit there, hot, hot, hot. The sight of so much water was torturous, it was very, very tempting. A very cool building beside the White House. Canal beside our hotel in Georgetown. Jefferson was a big guy.

Monday, April 30, 2007. We're goin' to the zoo, zoo, zoo. And so we meet again. This is the same picture of last weeks night shot, only taken during the day. 'citing. This is also where we get the light-rail home. So all is going well on the work front, very well in fact. Right after this picture was taken, these two went on a rampage; nobody survived. (The one on the left has a certain, "I'm putting serious thought to eating your wife" kind of look.). On the Friday, Gary made his way out to the New Jers...

Wednesday, August 29, 2007. Offensive material removed to protect my innocent readers. Don't you just love kids. We left the Met and made our way towards the Port Authority Bus Terminal to get some tickets to the Meadowlands, we were off for some more FOOTBALL! After the game, we made our way into NYC for another organised outing. A quick bout of attempted shopping, interspersed with encounters with some overly-cheerful. Posted by Andy at 04:33.
