Catherine's studio blog: Edward Hopper
http://jcapcatherine.blogspot.com/2011/01/edward-hopper.html
Wednesday, January 5, 2011. I save the first part of the assignment but can't find it now.(It has been more than two months since I have saved the file .). Edward Hopper started making prints at 1915. Robert Henri taught Hopper etching. The artists in Henri’s group were enthralled by the vibrant pulse of the city’s parks, nightspots, and street life. Because this style also reflected a desire to create a distinctly American aesthetic rooted in shared national experience. Charles Demuth and Charles Sheeler.

jcstudioblog: Painting Maggie
http://jcstudioblog.blogspot.com/2010/03/painting-maggie.html
Artwork and explorations for AP Studio Art by the students of THE JOHN CARROLL SCHOOL, Bel Air Maryland. Friday, March 26, 2010. When sketching a pet, or any animal for that matter, one needs to work quickly. Students sketched our model for the day, Maggie, and had to stop when she moved and concentrate on other parts of their drawing, then return. We made 5 second gesture drawings that stretched into a 20 min sketch. A lot of fun. Posted by m.gaudreau. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Catherine's studio blog: Tall Glass of Water
http://jcapcatherine.blogspot.com/2010/10/tall-glass-of-water.html
Monday, October 11, 2010. Tall Glass of Water. My canvas size was rather small but I think the canvas size was good enough to show my ability of painting. October 29, 2010 at 6:46 PM. Your painting is light and delicate like the feathers. The glass looks transparent and seems to glow. good work. November 10, 2010 at 6:07 AM. I really like the idea of your painting! And I also love how you expressed the feather! November 18, 2010 at 10:36 AM. Those feathers look nice and soft. View my complete profile.
