Reed All About It: August 2013
http://mrsamandareed.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Reed All About It. Thursday, August 22, 2013. Jenn Brandon Maternity Photography. Most all of my photo sessions are for close friends and family members who are willing to let me build my portfolio and perfect my craft. So when Jennifer, a friend and former boss of one of my current coworkers, contacted me to shoot both her maternity and newborn photos, I was humbled {and quite honestly, a little nervous! To capture some memories for her! Monday, August 12, 2013. A San Franciscan Friday. The audio tour w...

Reed All About It: Seeing Red
http://mrsamandareed.blogspot.com/2014/07/seeing-red.html
Reed All About It. Wednesday, July 9, 2014. While the cabinet probably could have been left as is, there was one spot on the top that had nail polish remover or something spilled on it, and the paint was bubbling up. We decided to strip it - because that's easy, right? Sand it down and stain it. Well. Stripping paint off of the cabinet was a lot harder than we thought! Here's the final product of our labor. All in all, we're pretty pleased with how it turned out! We're taking our time making this house o...

Reed All About It: February 2014
http://mrsamandareed.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Reed All About It. Saturday, February 1, 2014. It took a while to find the perfect shade of grey for the downstairs of our home, but now that the painting is done, it was time to add some life to the walls in our living room. These floating shelves were a great deal from IKEA ($15 each) and the frames were equally a steal - the 4x6 frames. Were only $1.99! Now bear with me, still working on getting some of our favorite photos printed to frame, but so far we've framed a photo of our honeymoon. There are a...

Father's Day - Sincerely, Callie

I am a self-proclaimed pack rat. Even though my dad collects more letters and books and photos than I could imagine, he only keeps the beautiful, the necessary, the worthwhile. He is slowly teaching me that it's not about the amount of money you make, the clothes in your closet, or the car you drive. It's not about you at all. It's about Jesus, it's about family, it's about living a life full of dreams and heartache and laughter and friendship. Welcome everybody into your family with open arms. He is gen...

Rain & Lightning - Sincerely, Callie

God and the World. 112) It's difficult to understand at first, but bear with me. We discussed the two different accounts of creation in Genesis: the first chapter is the grand unfolding of God's immensity. The account is organized rationally, and God is above all, looking down and speaking creation into existence. The second chapter is told differently:. God formed the man of AB. Dust from the ground and AC. Breathed into his AD. Nostrils the breath of life, and AE. The man became a living creature.

It's been a while, folks. Today, there was a shooting in Waco. Biker gangs, of all things. They closed down the Central Texas Marketplace, and the parking lot is still an "active" crime scene. Nine people are dead, and the photos of their bodies are plastered all over the news. Even CNN wanted a piece of Waco, today. It's all headlines, breaking news, and criminal activity. There are nine families in mourning today. We are a broken, fallen people. Create a free website. Create your own free website.

June & the Discipline of Being Present - Sincerely, Callie
http://www.sincerelycallie.com/blog/june-the-discipline-of-being-present
June and the Discipline of Being Present. Summer, even while working shifts at the library and the Judge's office, is a gift. The rhythm of life slows and sweetens, with rare and treasured mornings off, more hours spent with my favorite goddaughter, good conversations over good food , weddings and family, and so many books to gobble up. God is present in these long summer days. Seeing June and Sarah fills me up in the best way. I don't know how to explain it, but being with them narrows my world. It's th...

enjoying the imperfections - Sincerely, Callie

In the fall of 2012, I had a lot of ideas about what college should look like. I remember going into Baylor as a freshman, fully expecting a perfect. I began wondering what I was doing wrong on days peppered with bad grades, loneliness, and flat-on-your-face kind of mistakes. My life was oriented around what I thought. Be happening and that backfired in the worst kind of discontentment. I think we should embrace the mess, because God's grace is so absolute and obvious there. Life isn't orchestrated b...
