Saturday, September 10, 2011. 1 Twitter - cause i don't feel the need to accept everyone as my friend.and i can be more honest there. and then go and get a good laugh by re-reading old tweets. 2 New Jersey - never did I think that I would be thankful for my time there. But lets be honest - I made great friends there, played great music with even greater musicians there, I got a terminal degree there (well.almost). And I got fat on AWESOME food :-). Ever since our friend's mom introduced us to this cake, it has been made at least once a month. It's fast, easy, moist, and delicious. What more could you want from a cake? That's right. Nothing. Monday, August 17, 2009. I recently saw the movie Julie and Julia. I think Julia Child and I have things in common. Oh no, I am not an amazing French chef, I have never deboned a duck, and I have never sent out antique portrait Valentines to all my friends (because why celebrate v-day when it's Arizona's b-day). However, I do believe that we share a bond. First and foremost, I am currently in the process of mastering Julia Child's voice.it is key to becoming a great chef, or baker. Okay, first of all.

Thursday, August 27, 2009. So, this will be my first recipe entry. I have tried making several strawberry rhubarb pies, but none seemed to be all that great until this.my dad said it was the best pie he had ever eaten. Granted, he is a tad biased, but on the other hand, he has eaten alot of pie in his lifetime. 2 1/2 cups chopped red rhubarb, (the original recipe calls for fresh, but I used frozen). 2 1/2 cups de-stemmed, washed and cut strawberries (in larger pieces). 2 TBL minute tapioca. Everyone else did.why not? Wednesday, July 28, 2010. I'll admit - this post is being written in a semi-copycat manner thanks to a recent blog by my friend Alice-Anne. The title of the post is actually pretty amusing the more I think about it. I've known about my entry date into the US Navy for about 3 months now, and I'm excited and so ready to get to it. I'm tired of the state of limbo i'm in, and yet I press on knowing I have a good thing waiting for me at the end of this 5 month " rainbow.
