Joy in the Journey. Sunday, January 29, 2012. We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year. It was fun to plan and decorate. Behind us is a "thankful tree"- everyone could write what they were thankful for on a leaf and tape it to the tree. It looked so pretty when it was filled with thankful leaves! We also celebrated James masters degree with a surprise graduation ceremony! Thanksgiving football in the backyard:. Joy in the Journey. Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Kyle is a kindergartener this year! He has Ms. Powell, who was also Karissa's teacher, and he likes her and likes being in school. He likes to get his homework packet done the first day of the week and not have any homework (except reading) on the other days. Joy in the Journey. Monday, October 31, 2011. The other day the kids and I went up to Oak Glen after school. The old schoolhouse was open, so we got to visit the museum and then play at the playground for a while. We found a little path and explored a little, and then made a final stop for apple cider and apple slice samples. We told stories and sang campfire songs, looked at the stars and ate treats. Then, in true cheater-camping style, we went home and slept in our beds. I love cheater camping.

Joy in the Journey. Thursday, June 30, 2011. On Memorial Day, my family came out to spend the day with us. My parents had been to this great place in Palm Springs, and they took us there. Even though it's in the desert, right by this little stream, it stayed nice and cool. It was a beautiful place and we had a great time there. When we got to the water, Trevor wanted to get wet. Fall in a day. Friday, April 23, 2010. Spagetti casserole changed to spagetti Bake. For dinner last night I made a family favorite meal only I revamped it to be healthy.
