It's Never Too Late To Tri: July 2008
http://nevertoolatetotri.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
It's Never Too Late To Tri. Thursday, July 31, 2008. World's Longest Race Report. To anyone that dare attempt to read this all the way through, I apologize, editing never really occurred. To me I hope I kept the rambling and random thoughts to a limit, but if you scroll down, well, that would appear doubtful. Posted by Mary Lou. My first of many shout outs to the Volunteers at this event – especially since the guy marking me agreed to put whatever age I wanted on my right calf. Once in transition, I read...

Becoming an Iron Panda: January 2011
http://puttingthefuninfundraising.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Becoming an Iron Panda. Sunday, January 9, 2011. New Year's Tri Resolutions. Okay I know I've done this like twelve times before and I never keep them because I keep getting injured. Well I'm still injured but I need something to focus on, so here it is:. 1 I want to do RAGBRAI. I think I can actually handle this one since the hip seems to hold up for biking. I applied for it with super cycling friend J. 2 I'm signed up for Shamrock half. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Lucky Lotter...

Becoming an Iron Panda: September 2010
http://puttingthefuninfundraising.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Becoming an Iron Panda. Tuesday, September 7, 2010. In the meantime I’m marooned on the sofa watching the Philly bike race on DVR and whimpering at the screen the way an indoor cat does at the glass preventing him from stalking a bird outside. By the way, did you know that Jelly Belly has an actual racing team? I guess it makes sense since they make Sport Beans. I think this is the perfect team for me, what with having a Jelly Belly being typical of a panda's physique. H: Are you pregnant? This particula...

Becoming an Iron Panda: There's stuff that isn't running?
http://puttingthefuninfundraising.blogspot.com/2011/05/theres-stuff-that-isnt-running.html
Becoming an Iron Panda. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. There's stuff that isn't running? What do you do with all that extra time once your 20 hour a week part time job training gets de-railed? But is pretty awkward at a party in NE with uptight people. Oh and Oreo mint cupcakes taken from this blog: http:/ sharedbites.blogspot.com/2010/12/mint-oreo-cupcakes-and-uh-laziness.html. Which I think I might have volunteered to make for my anime artist friend D who drew this version of me:. I also regained my creative s...

Becoming an Iron Panda: March 2010
http://puttingthefuninfundraising.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Becoming an Iron Panda. Saturday, March 20, 2010. Pain in the Arse. So about a month ago I needed to run 18 miles in my plan to run the Shamrock marathon. My plan: drive up to Columbia and run the 9miler with the Howard County Striders. And run it twice so I would make my 18. Well I got there. And lo and behold, they had canceled the 9 miler and were only having the 2 and 6 miler. Now the 6 miler would be running the 2 mile loop 3 times. Because the trails were still covered with snow. Let's just say tha...

Becoming an Iron Panda: October 2009
http://puttingthefuninfundraising.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Becoming an Iron Panda. Sunday, October 25, 2009. I thought I should start blogging more often (as in more than once every quarter). There's a group of people who do the whole Thursday Thirteen thing. But Thursdays are crappy days for me to blog, and I don't really care for the number 13. So in the immortal words of Cartman, "Whatevah, I do what I want! 1 I ran the Rock N Roll half marathon again. 2 It was slow but good. 3 I still hate crowds. And people. And crowds of people. 10 I started a new job.

Becoming an Iron Panda: Can I get a new hip for my birthday?
http://puttingthefuninfundraising.blogspot.com/2010/06/can-i-get-new-hip-for-my-birthday.html
Becoming an Iron Panda. Monday, June 7, 2010. Can I get a new hip for my birthday? So I was going to skip my birthday since it’s not a milestone and I was kind of depressed about being old and the whole being broken thing. In the end I decided like a week before to have a happy hour since I was going to be off early anyway for the MRI. Then the usual disrobing and removing of all piercings and putting on the super awesome slipper socks. I have a collection. Then they took a few X-rays of my femur/hip bone.
