Caltech Division of Biology. Initial funding of $7.5 million dollars for 3 years was provided by the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundations. To achieve the Center’s mission, the Translational Acceleration Grants (TAG) program was established to fund scientists for one-year with awards of up to $100,000. Only Caltech or UCLA professorial faculty may apply for a TAG. Collaborative Caltech-UCLA projects with a proven track record of ongoing interaction and a critical mass of expertise are encouraged.
