Things I am [not] looking forward/back to/on. July 13, 2010 at 6:12 PM. Things I’m looking forward to about going home:. Friends and family (sorry guys, it was a close call but you came in second to burritos). Being able to get around easily (i.e. drive). Barbecue (Piggy Blues BBQ to be exact). Cooler and less humid weather. Finding my old clothing that is not in tatters. Live Music, theater, dance, arts of all kinds. Things I’m going to miss in Malaysia. Cheap and frequent buses. The relaxed pace of life.

You are thrown into a whole new world, creating more anxiety than anyone could handle without the belief that things are going to be ok. I’m a good Lutheran in that I always have many, many doubts about my faith. Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Since today is a public holiday, I told mum not to cook and since Aunty Alice had just arrived back from JB last night, I decided we should go out for dinner. At first I wanted to try Marasap, Philippine cuisine at. But as I drove passed it at. I saw that it was closed for the public holiday. I have to postpone another time then. I decided to go to Bintulu Korean Restaurant instead. I did not feel like having the bbq and therefore ordered the stewed pork, steamboat as well as pancake.

Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Was working hard when black out came at 10.09am. Since I could not use the microwave to heat up food I brought from home for lunch, I had to asked the office boy to get for me the following Chicken Rice. The current came back after 2.5 hours when I was having my lunch. In the afternoon, I had a headache and it lingered until at night when it was time to attend Council Meeting. They are staying at another relative’s condominium at Alam Damai Condominium, the same place where Mr. Quek Lip Kie and family are living. Tonight one of their relatives, who is one of the co-owners of May Flower Restaurant invited Aunty Alice and I to have dinner with them. Sunday, May 6, 2012. Absent from Canaanland Mission Center. Woke up with a headache this morning and therefore decided to give church a miss. Abundant Life are having their church retreat this weekend and was supposed to go up there this morning to join the Sunday morning service but Lily Tan could not find transport for me. She is going up with Chong Nyen Siong and family. This is the first Sunday whereby Rev. James Wong conducts the Holy Communion as the Priest-in-Charge of Canaanland. You raise me up.
