Half a Truth is Better than No Politics. Friday, November 19, 2010. On Youth Ministry and Theology. On Thursday afternoons there is a group of students from the church who gather for scripture study and dinner together. We have been moving our way through Romans, which is quite a book for a youth study. (! Turns out I do too. That's all for now! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Half a Truth is Better than No Politics: April 2011
http://cdclements.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Half a Truth is Better than No Politics. Friday, April 01, 2011. Three apartments down from me live a bunch of stoners. And they have a patio. When Nyssa and I had first moved in for the summer, they could often be heard out on the patio until the morning hours yelling about stuff and carrying on about Pink Floyd and how stoned they once got. (No word of a lie; I know it seems stereotypical, but it is true). Anyway, all this to say. wish me luck this summer. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Song I Like.

Half a Truth is Better than No Politics: December 2010
http://cdclements.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Half a Truth is Better than No Politics. Wednesday, December 01, 2010. My recent post which compares Fergus and Toronto was met with much enthusiasm from the spamming community. (Thank you all. you do flatter too much.). However I'd like to point out an unhelpful misunderstanding in one of my supportive spammer's comments. Ray is quoted as:. I feel this is one good reason, among many, why we shouldn't act rashly to discard smart people and their books. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Half a Truth is Better than No Politics: October 2011
http://cdclements.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Half a Truth is Better than No Politics. Friday, October 21, 2011. The road in front of the church is common route for folks to bypass the the traffic on the more major routes through town. While the portion of the road immediately in front of the church is open, the road past the church is being dug up for water main repair. The construction workers have put up very visible signs to indicate there is construction and that the road beyond the church is closed. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). These lines on t...

Half a Truth is Better than No Politics: February 2011
http://cdclements.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Half a Truth is Better than No Politics. Wednesday, February 09, 2011. I have recently become aware of a new underground movement amongst Tyndale Alumni [between class of 2004 - 2006]. It is called FIGHT CLAP. In careful research, I have discovered the following references and descriptions to FIGHT CLAP:. Not so much. But it’s always real. And we like that . When I find myself in times of trouble, FIGHT CLAP comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be. And in my hour of darkness FIGHT CLAP is ri...

Half a Truth is Better than No Politics: March 2011
http://cdclements.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Half a Truth is Better than No Politics. Wednesday, March 09, 2011. In small towns or communities, remember not to talk about others in public places. Even if it is mostly business. Although my most recent experience of this rule is not as bad as the time I made fun of the women's volleyball team while they were at the adjacent table. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Half a Truth is Better than No Politics: August 2011
http://cdclements.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Half a Truth is Better than No Politics. Sunday, August 07, 2011. I am developing a new theory on public speaking. I hypothesize that the better someone becomes at public speaking, the less people feel the need to encourage this individual after an incident of public speaking. In short: the less people tell you how well you did, the better your presentation actually was. According to my new theory, I feel today's sermon went medium well. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Misomusy: June 2008
http://hotnags.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Now I Can't Disappear. I'm not dead; I merely encountered the most devastating disease known to humanity: Irukandji syndrome. I writhed in physical agony and moaned heinous expletives: "Sweet Condi Rice-John Maaaayer! I think Albert Camus described my condition in a novel. On the same night as my plight Marissa Nadler was to invade Toronto and I was to absorb a gloomy hum outta El Mocambo. Turns out, Nadler cancelled the performance ages ago. Saturday, June 14, 2008. Misomusy: Trois-Pistoles Blues
http://hotnags.blogspot.com/2009/06/trois-pistoles-blues.html
Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Frosty hands, enveloped in froth, an impenetrable cloud that draws adverse reactions upon each introduction, reaches instead for a dulling pencil and immerses into a pleasurable sadness:. Pedals for fingers in her hands, a sympathetic smile acknowledging time,. Hunching over a wooden cross then moving from grave to grave distributing,. Until the end of her life with flowers enveloping her body, it taking twenty years for her cheeks to pale,. Victor H. said. July 2, 2009 at 3:10 PM.
