Steve & Jenny: Papa's porch
http://stevensandjenny.blogspot.com/2010/09/papas-porch.html
Tuesday, September 7, 2010. August was a wonderful, busy month! Now that the school year is back in session, we're all settling into our weekly routines and taking a breather! So, picking up on my effort to update the blog, these are some shots of the kiddos playing outside at Papa's Cooper's house during our trip there in May. O-man loved the swing. He also loved the stairs. Peek-a-boo! I'm planning to toss some more posts up to try to bring this blog up to date! So check back, loved ones!

Saturday, October 10, 2009. Briggs and Al's Run. Starting from the 5 mile marker to the finish line. Thanks to all that encouragement, Coop completed the 8k in 36 minutes and 39 seconds, placing 369 out of 3,185 runners. Good job, Coop! Thursday, October 8, 2009. Last Sunday we went apple picking while Papa Cooper and Grandma Smith were in town. We lucked out on the weather! It was a sunny, warm, beautiful day! Here are some pics from the day! Steve & Jenny: November 2009
http://stevensandjenny.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 5, 2009. Like all young kids, my children love bubbles. They are so marvelous and beautiful and fascinating, those bubbles. Just like young children. We have a little $3 bubble machine that creates a lot of excitement over here. We took it out to play, but it was a bit windy. The yards in our neighborhood are not fenced, and this creates a mighty wind tunnel down our block. Ava tried to catch them, but they were moving pretty fast that afternoon. Steve & Jenny: June 2009
http://stevensandjenny.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 21, 2009. The Tour of America's Dairly Land. We walked the length of the route to watch the competitors zoom around the different corners- very exciting. Part of the festivities of this two-day event included a 5k run/fun walk on Saturday morning. We thought that sounded fun to do, so we decided that morning to join the action. We got there just in time to get our racing numbers pinned to our back and join in the group warm up time. It was a hoot. Here's Coop stretching before the run. We al...

http://stevensandjenny.blogspot.com/2010/09/play-dates-in-park.html
Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Play dates in the park! During that same trip to St. Louis in early May we had a lot of different play dates scheduled with different friends in different parks. First up, Carol and Bree in Kirkwood. I love those girls! Owen loved Bree spinning him around. Those 2 kids! The next day we met up with the Hartkes in Des Peres. Ava was so proud of herself after climbing this tree! She was "taller than mommy! We squeezed in a group shot before leaving. Here's the whole gang! It was ...

And Coop is so in love with him. LOVE it. Back in WI in May. It still wasn't very warm here on May 9th, but apparently it was warm enough for the grass to grow and need mowing. It was also a bit wet outside, and the fresh-cut grass turned Callie into a leprechaun. Check out that vivid shade of green. Owen is w...

Steve & Jenny: August 2010
http://stevensandjenny.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 13, 2010. Tuesday, August 10, 2010. This is the last retroactive update from April! I've ended up drawing this process out a bit, but that's ok with me, and I'm guessing our grandmas are enjoying the extra pictures anyway. These little munchkins were excited to eat lunch outside on April 30th, so that's what we did. Notice the puny little leaves trying to grow on the hedge in the background. It seemed to take forever for them to arrive! Sunday, August 8, 2010. Parents get to visit! We also...

Steve & Jenny: Leader Picnic in the Park
http://stevensandjenny.blogspot.com/2010/09/leader-picnic-in-park.html
Sunday, September 12, 2010. Leader Picnic in the Park. We were lucky enough to be able to attend the volunteer appreciation picnic for the efree youth leaders while we were in St. Louis in May. It was kind of crazy to show up, seeing as how we did not volunteer over the last 2 years, but the organizers were super gracious and told us to join the get-together. I'm so glad we got to do so! I have such a love for our friends and fellow youth workers from our church in St. Louis! View my complete profile.

Steve & Jenny: Purina Farm and Picnic with Moots
http://stevensandjenny.blogspot.com/2010/09/purina-farm-and-picnic-with-moots.html
Sunday, September 12, 2010. Purina Farm and Picnic with Moots. On the Friday of our week in St. Louis we got to spend the day at Purina Farms and the park with Moots. It was such a great outing! Moots is an avid dog lover, and we all enjoyed the dog's agility demonstration and the lesson on how to milk a cow. Moo. Ava loves her moots. They were taking a tour of the barn and checking out the animals. Ava is much more daring and is now the "organizer" of the other little ones she meets on the playground.
